we do our own highlights at home and usually use a cap. We occasionally use foils. For some reason this seemed a great idea but it was a little fiddly but once in place it was easy to brush down the length of the hair. The only trouble is you can’t get close enough to the scalp with this resulting in some highlights between 1cm - 1” away on average

I initially thought this would be really helpful to me, as I bleach and highlight my own hair at home. However, I found this to be extremely awkward and time consuming, and preferred to just bleach the hair without these. HOWEVER... I think if you were to use these on anothee person, they would actually help a lot to ensure you have each section of hair properly saturated with the dye or the bleach. Therefore for personal use, it's not so great, however for 'clients'... Potentially very helpful.
