fair to good
like the sound quality, value for money, and feel of the musical instrument strings. they maintain their excellent tone even after extended hours of playing, are great for bass slapping, and are on the cheaper side of bass strings. the strings hold up just fine and are solid. happy with the tension, brightness, and functionality.

Great strings, BIG TONE
Great feel and sound, D'Addario never let's me down. I've used nothing but D'Addario guitar and bass strings since I started playing over 25 years ago and their products are just plain better than an others I've tried. Can't go wrong here. I highly recommend D'Addario!

Perfect Strings for Veteran Musicians!
I recently purchased the D'Addario Electric Bass Guitar Strings - EXL160BT 50-120 - Nickel Wound Bass Strings for my dad, who's been a passionate bass and guitar player for over 50 years. Let me tell you, these strings have truly transformed his playing experience! The fuller sound that these strings produce is nothing short of extraordinary. My dad was immediately captivated by the rich, deep tones that resonated from his bass. The clarity and resonance these strings provide are unmatched, adding a whole new dimension to his music.Being a veteran musician, my dad has tried numerous strings over the years, but he was particularly impressed by the longevity of these D'Addario strings. They maintain their excellent tone even after extended hours of playing, which is a testament to their high quality and durability.I wholeheartedly recommend the D'Addario Electric Bass Guitar Strings - EXL160BT 50-120 - Nickel Wound Bass Strings to other seasoned musicians out there. If you're looking for strings that not only deliver exceptional sound but also stand the test of time, these are the ones to get. My dad hasn't stopped raving about them, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed either. Happy playing!

Good for someone not knowing exactly what they like
I'm not primarily a bass player and I have limited experience in this area, but I got a set of these a year ago and they still haven't gone dead. I bought these thinking the old strings were due for a replacement but there doesn't seem to be an urgent need. I think they're a pretty good all-around string that can handle a variety of styles in the hands of a novice. The price was right, often less than half of other strings I considered.Feel is nice, and while not as comfy as a flat wound string they weren't terrible either. I use "Finger Ease" which helps eliminate a lot of the abrasion of round wound strings. While I have nothing to compare these strings to, they didn't really have me wanting to change them for something else. I think these would be a good place for someone contemplating new strings and not knowing what to buy.

My go-to string set
I’ve been using the 95-40 and 107-45 balanced tension D’addario strings on my 34” scale 4 string basses almost exclusively for quite a while now. They sound good, feel good, and have an average life span. Since I have several basses and am not currently gigging, I won’t speak to their longevity because I may not put as many hours on them over the course of, say, a month as others might.I got into balanced tension strings because I hate the way the D string always has way higher tension than the E and A in most normal string sets. Now, each string has a similar bendiness which I think makes the playing experience more enjoyable.I’ve never received a dead string from D’addario, either, and I’ve used their strings on probably 75% of the many basses I’ve had over the last 10+ years.

Real Professional Quality
Call it being biased, but I've always favored D'Addario strings.

Awesome sound. Excellent customer service.
These are the best sounding bass strings I've ever had! They really do have a MUCH brighter sound than other strings. It really transforms the bass from a muddy mellow sound into a bright, full sound. Definitely the best bang-for-buck I can imagine for improving your bass sound (unless you want a nice soft mellow sound for your music). I had one hiccup with the order in that one of the strings had a very mellow sound, so they may have accidentally shipped me one of the flat wound strings. D'Addario customer service was extremely responsive and sent me new strings right away with express shipping - I couldn't be happier with their customer service!
