Too Short, Narrow, And Hurts Heels.
I ordered a size 9 extra wide.My big toe was millimeters from the toe cap. In virtually all my other size 9 shoes, i'll have about a finger-width or thumb-width spacing between the big toe and toe cap. So these definitely run short. My toes were being squeezed together by the toe cap. I don't think the shoe is an extra wide at all. I had some retro-style Kangaroo's from a local store which were medium width and the uppers are the exact same size.In the heel area inside the shoe the surface was uneven. It felt like the left side of the left heel and the right side of the right heel were raised compared to the rest of the area. And it caused discomfort and pain when I stood up in the shoes due to the uneven surface pressing into my heels.I called New Balance to discuss the sizing and the issue with the heel. They kept calling them "lifestyle" shoes, which doesn't really excuse the tight fit, kept excusing the heel issue by telling me the shoes are not cushioned (the insoles literally say "cushion" on them) and told me to buy more expensive New Balance shoes to ensure I get wider soles after I told them these narrow issues seemed to be in their lower price shoes including the Coast V3, Arishi, Arishi Sport, and 24v1I would skip these, especially if you have wide feet. And maybe skip New Balance altogether if they want to make shoes this way.

Wide footed people take note!
I just got these shoes and wore the around the house and they're your standard New Balance classics shoe (which is great). I bought these 515's to replace my older 574's which were awesome, but needed to be retired. However, my gripe is with the consistency in the width sizing. As you can see in the pictures comparing these new 515's, which are 9.5 4E, to my older 574's, which are 9.5 2E, you can clearly see that the 2E is wider than the 4E. I'm going to keep them because I got them for a little more than $30, but others that are looking for the wide sizes should know what to expect. They're great shoes and the best for wide feet, but I'm docking them 2 stars for not being able to have consistent sizing.Hope this helps!

Beware if you've got BIG feet
My husband has big feet. 15 4E. I bought two pair of these for him. One pair fit ok but definitely a bit smaller than his current pair of New Balance MW877's. The second pair was ridiculous. At least a half size too short and a full size too narrow. Unfortunately at that size and width there's no bumping up a half size. He's been wearing New Balance forever. They are one of the few brands that actually makes big and wide shoes and while they've never offered the most fashionable choices, the sizing has NEVER been an issue. Unfortunately this is a definite fail for New Balance and for big and wide footed folks. I hope that this isn't the start of a new sizing trend for New Balance.

Disappointed with Sizing
I purchased these shoes for my husband, and this is what he had to say:“I compared the shoe I have with these new shoes. They are both supposed to be the same size, 6.5 4E, (or so they say). There is a full half-inch difference in width. I bought New Balance shoes for several years, and they have always been true to size. Why all the sudden are they so narrow? I returned these, thinking I got the wrong size. I thought, surely, I would get the correct size, but the second shoe was exactly the same. Why has New Balance changed their width sizing? It is very difficult for me to find shoes that fit correctly without my feet hurting, and my little toes eventually popping out the sides of the shoe. I used New Balance for years, and now, I am very disappointed. Also, The Amazon site has a lot to be desired for those of us with hard-to-find shoe sizes.”

I got 4E but it was really narrow. I compared it with other brands like Asics and Adidas and New Balance's 4E is like 2E or even narrower than other brands.

Highly Recommended!
These are some slick looking, super comfortable kicks! They're blue-trim on a black base color New Balance 515v1 sneakers- more stylish design with many more bolder color choices than the original design that I usually wear (513 is the style # I usually wear I think?). This sneaker not only is a good looking shoe but is also as comfortable, if not more comfortable, than my normal, basic-style, New Balance shoes I've worn for years. Full disclosure: New Balance is my sneaker brand of choice almost exclusively, but it is because, over the years, I've had many shoes from them just like these ones & have come to appreciate their stylish, comfortable & versatile footwear- I am in no way affiliated with the company. Couldn't be more pleased with the shoes & given the price paid for this specific size/color, they're a total, 5-star win. Highly Recommended!

Awesome shoe but a little bit narrow.
Just be careful with this, is a little bit narrow. Don't misunderstand me, size is right but the structure of the shoe makes it a little bit narrow. If your feet is wide or a little bit fatty don't go on this and try another model.
