Let just start to say that this is not a actual black pipe (plumbing pipe) very light and very little threads not enough to make it tight. It would be loose and than in a quarter of a turn it would be tight not allowing it for adjustments

These pipes are not the real thing. Even though they would be fine for wall shelving and items like that, they are not the real Schedule 40 black iron pipes. These have thin walls and only threaded about 1/2" down the pipe when a normal thread is 1" long. I purchased these to be used on pipe clamps, but they cannot be used as the diameter is also smaller than the normal black iron, schedule 40 pipes. Really should specify that these are not real, nor the real sizes of normal black pipe. I put mine in the trash.

the Goovi is used for verticals, elbows, 3 way T-s and flanges. so should have been a good fit, but not really. the pipe will flex or flop in the joint. It was the pipe not the connectors. The crossbars are from a different manufacture and actually match up to the Goovi joints (both fit and color) better than the Goovi pipe.I ordered two sets kept the one because the wife wanted the project done.just for DIY purposes, that's stained 10ft 2x12s 14in verticals all levels for legs on flanges with 3way joint and elbows at top, across to flanges screwed to the wall with 1.25in drywall screws. I used a pipe hanger under each shelf on all 9 points ( three shelves x three stands )

these pipes are pretty much junk. it is a good thing I am only using them for furniture legs. they are not straight, nor clean and the threads suck. they are barely threaded so of course they don't go into the Tees straight. I forced them and played other tricks to make them straight. have to make sure I don't purchase straight runs from these guys again in the future

I ordered these for a shelving project in a small kitchenette in an addition I was building. They worked great. I can't attest to the actual weight-bearing limit because there are too many factors, but these work great for the application for which I bought them. The main thing to keep in mind is that these come coated with an anti-rust agent that comes off easily with soap and water. This will need to be removed if you decide to paint them as I did. After they are cleaned, paint them QUICKLY as they will begin to rust within a day.

I bought these for use in a book shelf project I was working on; partially because of their price vs whats available at hardware stores, and partially because of the convenience (they don't always have every length/size at said hardware stores). For my purposes, these worked, but they are not the same quality as those from the hardware stores. That makes sense though; the big-box store options are meant for plumbing or what have you, and these are sold for use in projects. Just be aware that some of these won't fit quite right, or might have imperfections.... but for the price, they're hard to beat for projects.

Cheap thin pipe. Nothing like industrial black pipe. Sure hope the rest of my order isn’t coming from this company. Grrr! What a waste.
