I didn't expect certain things but was pleasantly surprised
This text on Real-Time Embedded Systems surprised me in that it showed examples of Radar Based real-time UML. Now one has to realize that the book is primarily written for those needing to learn UML for real-time but there are snippets of terrific information for the inexperienced real-time systems developer. Such as the section on concurrency and how to document it using UML. Hmmm.interesting...The chapters that went over specific processors were extraneous to me as I typically pick up a data manual for any processor on which I must work but I don't believe that it took away from the overall quality of the text.Being a more seasoned real-time, embedded developer not too much was new to me but I have been looking for a book to offer to my newly-minted, real-time software developers that would depict good enough examples without going into loads of extraneous detail. It is a good text for entry and those folks that are transitioning into real-time, embedded architecture and design. The architectural principles were well enough explained so that any engineer or scientist may understand and implement (with the additional help of the internet).
