Makes dehydrating chicken easy
I bought this to make treats for my dog. I buy boneless, skinless breasts ... trim any fat ... freeze them ... slice in 1/8th inch strips ... add them to my dehydrator for 4 hours. I know the treats are safe. No recalls from China, ever. She loves them!To clean it, I leave it together so I never have to reset the cutting width. Just wash it well in the sink. Be careful. The blade is SHARP! Let it air dry.

Great for jerky and hot pot
Decent construction and makes excellent jerky and hot pot cuts. Also decent at slicing vegetables.

utter junk, horrid.
where do i even begin. well, the good news is by some sheer miracle if you're able to set everything up, this piece of junk can actually cut some meat. THE PROBLEM IS, it's akin to having all the planets realign. the four suction cups at the bottom of the feet are practically useless and don't grip the surface at all, even slightly. this means as you're slicing the meat, the entire contraption will wobble, sometimes violently. not a good characteristic for a kitchen tool that's meant to slice meat. you just might end up cutting your own hand meat. plus a lot of the parts were rusty when it arrived, including the nuts and bolts holding the slicing arm in place. the meat holding platform is incredibly thin, meaning it's prone to bending. the meat handle with spikes facing down don't really do a good job at handling the frozen meat. adjusting the thickness of the cuts using the two handle washers is not intuitive and needs to be tightened. there is no safety lock on this device meaning storage can potentially be an issue. CLEANING, oh man yet another negative thing related to this device. you need a bristle brush with long bristles otherwise meat will dry and get stuck in a few nooks and crannies here and there. it would not have been an issue if the manufacturer had used stainless steel parts but i guess they wanted to save fifty cents off of retail price. do yourself a favor, save the hassle and shell out a few more clams getting a sturdier slicer that WONT RUST and is not a pain in the neck in general.

Great choice
I dreamed about to make my Bulgogi dish with my own thickness, very thin, paper-thin. Since to make real think slice of beef, I choose this manual slicer rather than electric one because it needs to slice frozen beef. This works as all I expected. It is very easy to slice frozen meet. I'm very satisfied with its operation, not only that, I also like the price of this. Awesome.

It does its job!!
this item is definitely woth purchase. but, you need to get use to what it can and can not do ebfore you actually make it useful. first, if the meat is frozen you need to thaw it little bit in the refrigerator for couple of hours becasue if not, the core of the meat is solid frozen and the blade can't slice the meat and it slide wont cut properly. and it won't cut pork rind. i froze the pork belly with skin and it cuts meat part but not the skin. so keep in mind. and I wish if the blade was sharper. after few tries, i noticed that the blade gets dull pretty fast. now i need to find the way to sharpen the blade. other than those things i mentioned, it's worth while and i love the slicer. thanks

Love slicer
I use this slicer to slice chicken breast and then dehydrate it for my dog. I used to have an electric slicer and it got so nasty and I hated cleaning it. This is so easy to clean and sliced the chicken breast perfectly.

Lightweight
Works well for the price but is a little flimsy for what it has to do.

Poor quality item
I am giving this review because a number of factors. Firstly, this is an item where you process food, and it should not have rusty screws, right out of the box. Secondly the blue protective coating is a good idea to put on, but to have to take the whole thing apart to get all that stuff off is absurd. Then there is the cheep, unfinished metal that the whole base is made of. Sharp metal all around the bottom, where I ended up cutting myself cleaning the unit. It cuts very well, but the overall quality of the this item is garbage, and in fact dangerous as well. I highly recommend that you go to the next item on the list you are looking at and possibly buy that one.

Convenient but Flawed Manual Frozen Meat Slicer
The manual frozen meat slicer is convenient for preparing hot pot dishes, making slicing easy and efficient. However, it tends to misalign during use, which affects the consistency of the slices. While it's helpful overall, the alignment issue needs improvement for better performance.
