Nice but tricky to keep at the perfect temperature to bake pizza . Practice!

It is cast iron and very heavy but I was able to unpack it and assemble it by myself. It is compact but still large enough to burn regular "fireplace size" firewood with room to spare. The pizza oven is just the right size for a 14" X 16" pizza stone and the perfect size for most frozen pizzas. The cast iron retains and radiates heat from the fire for a long time making it a perfect place to gather on a chilly evening. Pizza comes out perfect as long as you let the fire die down (Read the instructions) and cook over embers along with the heat retained in the cast iron.

This is a sweet unit for the deck and the position we had picked out will be perfect for it. Over $525.00 spent on this is WOW! The workmanship we paid for is WAY to much. As seen in the pictures posted along with this review. The two front legs installed perfectly but the back two not so lucky. I could not even get any pressure on the bolt to even seat the leg and keep it from wiggling like the front two did. For the money spent this should NEVER happen! I hope this company will send me a bunch of money back on this. As it sits I will need to spend time repairing the leg nuts so it will seat the back set of legs to stand securely and NOT TIP OVER. I hope I can make this work as Shipping and time wasted on this over 150# unit to send it back will be months and months of perfect outdoor cooking time wasted and we will never get it back. To bad workers don't get that. No pride anymore. Bummer. If they make good and send me a bunch of money or a new bottom I will revisit this post. Thank you Bill McKibbon Real person USA

While this is fun and makes a great pizza the construction of the hinged fire pit door is extremely flimsy. I am afraid it won't last long. Rust started to appear at seams after only a few days on the deck. A better paint job and sturdy door would make it worth the price.

My family loves this fireplace/outdoor pizza oven! The pizza, however,does take on a very smoky flavor if you do not let the fire die down to just hot coals which I do not like. Just have to keep making pizza until we perfect it. Also great for s'mores in the pizza oven - with a long stick there is less chance of them burning themselves! The one downfall is that it has rusted very quickly. We've only had it a short time and are good about keeping it covered but it still has not prevented the rusting. All in all we are very happy with this and everyone who comes over loves it!

My husband loves an outdoor fire, but we don't always want to go up to the back of our two acres to sit before a fire. He also loves to cook, BBQ, and bake. I purchased this for him for Christmas so he can have a fire to sit before ... we will put it on our concrete patio; and also so that he can bake bread, make pizzas, or grill if he wants. It arrived ... and is VERY VERY heavy, you will need two people to help uncrate it. It was well protected. We've not yet had the weather for using it, but hopefully another month or so and we'll be able to. It is very nice looking, and I was pleasantly surprised when it was uncrated to see it was even more nice-looking than in the photos on-line.

We love it!. We upgraded from a terracotta pizza oven to this one. Both make great pizzas however this one is much easier to use. It is also a BEAUTIFUL addition to our patio. We enjoy having Friday Family Pizza night ans recommend it to any family who enjoys pizza and spending time together.

I think I paid more to ship this to my house than for the oven itself, but what fun having a pizza oven in your back yard. My wife is gluten intolerant so it took me a bit of time to develop a dough that would work, but we got through that. I mostly use Western cedar for the fuel and like any Italian wood fired oven, for best results start the fire early and let it burn down and then slowly add additional wood. If I had a complaint about the oven, I wish it was a bit bigger, but then shipping would have cost more. Also, the rain in Seattle is hard on it, but it ships with a cover and I buy a can of black high temp spray paint every year ( for the outside only please).
