No more cracked knuckles or needing a crowbar to assemble!
Just received mine and set it up in under a minute. For those of you used to the standard military style cots from the 80's and 90's (maybe today as well), the first thing you will notice is the intelligent design.Gone are the days of needing to use the barrel of your weapon or a crowbar to get the second cross bar in place; place the first crossbar and then second is secured in place with the help of velcro adjustment straps! Simple. The cot comes in a handy carry case and the storage caddy is definitely a plus; keep your items organized, in reach and out of the dirt. The system comes with a (very) small pillow in another case - but a big guy like me needs a firmer, larger pillow. No more creaking with every movement - and being around 300lbs, I appreciate the sturdy construction.Should be heading out soon, so after a few nights in the field I will update you on how well it holds up.Edit: April 4 2013 -Okay, just as I thought, this cot works and works well! I get a kick out of watching my buddy strain and curse as he has to pry that last end bar into place on his surplus cot.No creaks or flops, this thing is sturdy and easy to pack. I love it.

Honestly advertised
I read reviews prior to buying anything I'm not fully familiar with. After reading reviews on this product I made the purchase. I live on a motorcycle and pull a trailer with my gear. The cot, though a little on the heavy side, is a dream come true. Now that I'm older and suffering with aching knees, getting down and up from the ground was becoming torturous. Now I can sit and lay in comfort. (I also purchased an ALPS Mountaineering air pad) OK, so its a great price for a great product. Its sturdy and the attachable pockets are actually useful, surprise surprise! This is not something for back packing, however if you have a means of carrying it, it takes up little space, folds and unfolds very easy - and the storage/carry bag is big enough for no-hassle handling. I highly recommend this cot and definitely get a pad or mattress for better comfort and loft.

Comfortable, could be more sturdy
I just received this item and tried it out.It was very easy to set up without any instructions. Upon laying on top of it, it wobbled back and forth a little bit which brings up a concern for the longevity of this product. If a stress test was done I believe it will not last too long due to the lightweight aluminum. On a positive note, It is very comfortable to lay on and definitely is a lot better than laying on the campground floor. The pockets that hang is a very neat feature which I will be using during my camping trips. The bottom of the legs are flat so it shouldn't puncture any holes on the floor of the tent.Overall, great product.

Great for tall ladies
I originally bought this cot for myself but after my boyfriend borrowed it like 5 times, I bought him his own too. We're both 5' 10" (between 150-175 pounds) & this cot fits us very comfortably. It easily unfolds and you snap the two end pieces on to keep it rigid. The cot is pretty freaking light, has its own carrying case & hasn't ripped at all or shown any wear after more than a dozen uses so far. Its great for a lumpy/unlevel ground and doesn't weigh as much as an air mattress (and doesn't require a loud fan to blow up!!). The rubbery little feet don't tear the bottom of our tent and it has enough air flow that you don't sweat in it. Love it.

Great for Boy Scout
My 10 year old scout used this on his last trip to Flagstaff Arizona; setup was easy and it was light enough for him to carry to and from the truck to the cabin on his own. When ordering it, he was really excited about the storage things, but ended up not using them and said afterwards they were just unnecessary and not worth the trouble to attach. For me, the quality was good, price was right, and even tried it out for myself; i'm 5'10" and 200 pounds, if I slept on my back it'd be fine, but i don't so he'll likely get many years of use out of this and I'll have to go for something wider.

Love This Cot
I am a fairly large person who does a lot of camping in the summer, and this cot definitely passed the test! I bought one for both myself and my wife and we love them. They are durable, easy to assemble and take down and are actually comfortable! The only thing I didn't like is that the black covers for the bottom of the legs come off easily. This was a problem because one was lost and the leg tore a hole in the carrying bag. Other than that, this is an excellent cot.

It has its uses for sure.
Not the most comfortable cot I've had in recent years, but definitely better quality. I don't use it for camping or anything, however I did use it for a couple months before I bought a bed and have used it several times when the folks come to visit and I get to sleep in the office. I do like that it folds up nicely into the carry bag. I'm 6-1 and I fit on it okay, I imagine it would work up to 6-3 without the feet sticking off the end.

Good cot, good price!
So far I've used this cot on 3 different camping trips. It is easy to assemble, doesn't take up much room either when collapsed or when fully opened.I will suggest getting a pad to place on top. For me, the middle bar of this cot is right where my hip is, and since I'm a side sleeper, if I use this cot for more than 1 night, I find I don't sleep well on the second night because I'm so sore from where the bar is.Other than that, it's held up and done it's job well.
