Good price
They work, small enough to take anywhere needed

Pocket friendly
I purchased the ceramic rod with the intent to carry wherever I went. The rod is a good grit helping maintain an edge on my pocket knives while away from my home. The ends of the rod are not sharp or uncomfortable to hold unto. I also find the length to make it easy to use yet compact enough to throw in a pocket. I feel that the value was fair to the price as well. I will be purchasing another to keep in my vehicle.

good ceramic rods
I have used other ceramic rods so this is not my first rodeo. With that said, these are made of a hard and very fine ceramic. They cut slowly but they do work. When I received these they had a slightly rough surface (think orange peel) which I smoothed out with a few passes of wet 1000gt sandpaper. I used the rod to dress up the edge on about a dozen knives made of an array of different steels. Again, slow cutting ceramic, but it produced a very keen edge.I mounted the rod in a drilled-out length of aluminum rod. I used epoxy to anchor about 1/4" of the rod to the aluminum. Then I covered the aluminum with a length of heat-shrink tube. Makes a nice handle. Ceramic can be fragile so I created a cover with a length of heat-shrink tube as well. Gives it a bit of protection. If you are looking for a hard fine ceramic steel these will do the trick.

Excellent sharpener for scissors.
Just what I needed to sharpen my scissors. I've tried several "scissors sharpeners" and never got that great of results. This worked perfectly the first time I used it. Highly recommend.

Be aware the tiny bump.
This thing helps me a ton to make my knives screaming sharp. But one little damage my knives too. There is a tiny bump at the bottom of the rod, without knowledge of it, it chipped the edge of my knives. I spent a hour using another ceramic block trim the bump off. Now it's perfect.
