Excellent little Gibson! Don't use anything over light guage strings on this guitar or you will damage it!
I love this guitar! I have played guitar for 52 years and I'm here to tell you this is not a junk guitar! A little advice for you when it arrives, take the strings off and put a set of Elixir strings on, use the 80-20 bronze wound nano coat, the strings that come on it and with it don't do this nice little guitar any justice, they just don't have the ring to them. While you have the strings off, up on your tuning keys tighten everything because they come a little loose, you will need a 10mm socket and a small phillips screwdriver. Use the 10mm socket with your fingers only! Do not use the ratchet with it! Place the 10mm socket down over the post that your strings wrap around, there is a little nut at the bottom that needs tightened, finger tighten only! Use the little phillips screwdriver on the back side and tighten the little screws that hold the tuning keys in place. While you have the strings off treat the finger board with finger board conditioner called hydrate, it keeps the wood from drying up, you should do this every 6th string change. Now get some guitar polish and rub in a nice coat of polish all over the guitar exept the finger board. Now you can put on your new set of Elixir light guage 80-20 bronze wound nano coated strings and tune it up and you are ready to play. When you put new strings on it will take a few tunings for the strings to get broke in and stretched before they stay in tune, but you always have to tweek them just like any guitar. They sent me an electronic tuner with my package and it wasn't listed so thank you Amazon. Enjoy your Gibson Maestro, I love mine!

Decent beginner guitar. Worth the price.
Updated review 6/18/18This guitar is a workhorse. It might not have the best sound acoustically, but it takes a beating and does the job in terms of practice and songwriting use. I recomend using bronze strings on this specific guitar. Ernie ball or Dr would be good options. Youll know when its time to change the strings on this specific one when either the sound goes flat or this specfic guitars tuners start to go stiff. There is minor fret buzz but that can be easily circumvented with adjustments to form while playing and using a harder pick. I usually recommend using .87-1.00 styled picks for this guitar. Otherwise great guitar for the price I paid.------------------------------------------------------------------Updated review 9/20/17At this point this same guitar has taken a beating from all the traveling around from point A to point B. Its safe to say it still holds up soundwise on a certain consistency. This is factoring in the now extremely dull strings as I have not changed them since buying the guitar. The tuners finally lost the certain stiffness and uptuning that would happen occasionally when I first bought the guitar. So now they consistently stay in tune for approximately 4-5 hours a playthrough. Although Im definitely due for an upgraded practice acoustic, I will still keep this one for practice during my commuting, traveling and work breaks. It was a definite steal at the 31.14 I paid for it.------------------------Updated review 7/13/17:So a few months later and the guitar is still going well. Definitely earned my money. Ive progressed a lot further with this little guitar as its portable nature has allowed me to take it into most places effortlessly. It does tune up from time to time so i have to downtune it. Otherwise although im due for an upgrade ill still be using this guitar as its still very dependable in a lot of guitar exercise related material.------------------------------------------------------------------------For the 31.14 i spent, i look at this as a great deal. But first a little about my musical background:Ive been playing in bands and music projects for over 10 years.Ive recently started learning different styles and picked up a basic acoustic guitar to complement the material being taught.I play in E tuningPackaging: this guitar came in three different boxes, packed in every safety precaution available. So its safe to say this guitar came in new condition with no nicks or bumps this came with an extra pair of strings, allen key, pics anda strap.Tuning & Strings:This guitar comes with an extra set of strings.Tuning however is a bit of work. This is because every so often the strings would downtune a bit, however this is minor. The guitar will stay in tune for a 2-2.5 hour practice sessionI would advise to have a good tuner with the guitar as a just in case.Fretboard:Looks decent. Honestly no buzz for most of it except for the 5th fret on the low e string. This can be easily adjusted due to the strings gauges, tunings or using a capo resolve the issue. I reccomend using low gauge strings to ensure highest quality sound.Overall:I felt this guitar for what its worth sounds decent. Especially considering the price i paid for it. It does a good job as a small upgrade for my callous developing needs and learning how the guitar feels and sounds. Otherwise for going passed the beginner and intermediate level you might want to consider something of a higher quality.

What a incredible guitar set!
Purchased this adult guitar starter set for my son as a gift. He required a full-size guitar and requested an acoustic one. After going back and forth with various brands and reading reviews, I also received input from a friend who owns several guitars. This set was recommended. It came packaged well, with no issues. The guitar is beautiful and well made. It required some tuning like all new guitars and plays great! My son has had it for several weeks now and he is thrilled with learning how to play the guitar. Still need to purchase a stand and carry case. No issues to report.

This is an awesome deal. Yes
This is an awesome deal. Yes, it is a slightly smaller guitar, but it plays big. The sound is incredible. It has a truss rod that is FULLY adjustable. Sealed tuners, the fret sides were finished well, not catching at my hand. I bought this because the price was awesome, I kept it because for a small bodied guitar it plays well. I recommend it wholeheartedly. I am not just some guy who wants to learn how to play. I do play and have for more than forty years. I also build guitars. The purpose of buying this guitar was to see what was being offered at this price range. I was impressed.

you get what you pay for
I thought this would work well and for the price it was ok. However, there was some issue with the neck needing to be straightened, the 4th string buzzed consistently and needed to be lowered, the turn nuts were sloppy and made it hard to keep the guitar in tune so I had them replaced. After investing in about $150 worth of set-up and repairs, it is beautiful! So, lesson learned, go for the higher priced guitars, ya gets what ya pays for.

Great Little Guitar
When you want a Great Sound for the Price it is very good. Also It is large but not as big as the BIG DADDY... Also come with a number of picks and also a guitar Strap.... But what I like is the BOOK that comes with it.... "GUITAR BASIC'S FOR BEGINNERS FOR DUMMIES." Really Down to earth Book.... Also 2 Sets of String, an Tuners..... What more do you want.... The only thing to be aware on how they ship it.... The Box was very poor shape. As it travel across the USA to Illinois....It still gets 6 Stars.

Not good quality, very light and cheap feel
This guitar is extremely light and it feels really cheap. The strings feel very cheap as well. It's a bad item to have the Gibson name put on it. Maybe this is good for a little kid learning to play the guitar, but for the price, you can get something a lot cheaper than this and it might be even better. Had to return it because I was not pleased with at all.
