Do you have to buy the whole system or just 1&2?

For long hair how much do you mix? I have thick hair. Do you use the entire bottle?

I originally started with blonde hair, but dyed it red using semi permanent dye. But dyed it brown w/ permanent box dye. Will it remove the brown?

My hair is dark rooted with purple end losing its color looks almost gray? Trying to find something because if i bleach the purple it will turn green.
