Great dye for plastic
My son used this to dye a plastic disc golf disc. It works like a charm. Very easy to use and gives excellent coverage! The color was very vibrant as well. He was very pleased.

Perfect for fake hair
My daughter has a clip on wolf’s tail 18-20” long black with a tip. White tip is approx 5” and she wanted it to be dyed red. Tried tie die and hair color both washed mostly out during the rinse cycle. This stayed in perfectly. Sat my work stool next to the stove and played on my phone inverter stirs. Did that for about 30 mins then turned the stove off and let it sit for another 40ish minutes before starting the hot to cool rinse process in the sink.

So awesome and vibrant!!
both these shirts were white!! first one is with a bit more concentrated mixture with about half the bottle, second is more diluted with water. I highly recommend!! didn’t turn out patchy at all, just follow the instructions on the bottle

First time dying ever and it came out great
This is the first time I ever dyed clothes and it worked for me. I watched a few videos on YouTube to figure out how to do it right and took a gamble. I had a plastic tote I used to dye, I just boiled water and added to the tote and stirred. I bleached the top first to get a clean slate and so the color would just grab on the denim jacket I bought. I might dye it again because I wanted a darker red but that could be because had too much water and not enough dye. I should of tested it but again it was first time and I'm happy. Update after one wash it very slightly faded in two spots. Barely could see, so this time I cooked the jacket on the stove with constant heat instead of a tote and got the darker red I wanted. I recommend cooking over stove than the tote way because heat is needed to penetrate the fabric.

Read the Drections
This is very labor intensive to use. Its not the old time RIT dye thats been around forever. You MUST use the stovetop. I went to Walmart and bought a 25 quart stock pot for $10 because you can't use a normal sized pot. I dyed a white blouse red. After an hour on the stove stirring I still only got a medium pink color. Will try another batch. Eventhough I stirred the fabric constantly and kept it moving I still ended up with spots where the dye was darker. Before washing the shirt I put some Dawn detergent on the spots and scrubbed a bit and the excess dye disappeared.

Didn't work right for polyester.
I bought this because it claimed to work on polyester but it just made the garment pink. It never showed up red.

Worth It
I had an old dress that had some stains on the white of the dress that would just not wash out. I figured I’d just try dying it. It worked out great! I love them! The original dress is on the left.

All I did was follow the manufacturer's instructions on the bottle (which parenthetically arrived fully intact and complete) and I am truly happy to report what was (for me at least) a best-case-scenario, PERFECT outcome with 'racing red'. Well done Rit® - please keep up the good work. I am very confident to highly recommend this dye to anyone who is capable of following simple, stepped instructions.
