Calculators aren't exactly hard to come by, but decent quality ones are. So rather than opting for another supermarket-own variety, I looked for a decent make.Can you really go wrong with Casio? This is a fantastic product that is not only well made, but looks really cool too (The beige tones are straight out of 1986)One of the most important aspects is how well it functions, and my expectations were beaten. I absolutely love the feel of the buttons on this product. They are chunky, have a nice long travel with smooth movement, and are precise all the way to the edges. I'm also impressed with the size of the calculator - it is much larger than the images suggest.Also, I appreciate the back-up battery for when light energy is low, as well as the Off button.

Needed something for desk that could assist with basic accounting. I find adding numbers together to be quite a depressing chore, so my laziness compelled me to buy this, and it's made my life a lot simpler. It's pretty difficult to accidentally knock another button (like you would if you used your phone) as the buttons are thick and quite spaced apart, the display is large and clear, and there's an off button. It does all the simple calculations. And it looks nice on my desk too. (And prevents me from getting too distracted since I have no excuse to use my phone now ;) ) Good purchase.

Does what it says on the tin, just a couple of niggles that maybe another calculator would address:1. Has two non-slip feet at bottom of calculator instead of four [one on each corner]. This means its prone to slipping more on non-textured desks e.g. glass.2. It doesn't show you on the screen if you have already pressed x, +, ÷ etc which is very useful when mid-calculation and looking between screens/docs etc

Bought two of these to replace (almost) identical calculators that had lasted over a decade, but finally failed.Good for basic calculation. These calculators can run solely on the solar cells attached, but they also have an internal battery, so they work in low light conditions as well. In the old version, the battery lasted for many years and could be replaced, but that required disassembling the calculator (but not difficult if you're used to that sort of maintenance). I have no reason to suppose the new calculators will be any less accommodating, battery wise.

Well I got this little gem for my son. It adds up and it takes away. But there's more, it also multiplies and divides. It's like magic.There are buttons; BUTTONS! With numbers on. And some with symbols.I wish I had one of these when I was shopping. Would have saved me a lot of embarrassement at the till.
