The Administrator Password and User Password can be used to unlock. If you forgot the user password, you can still use Administrator password to unlock.

All new alkaline batteries can last 8-12 months.

Q: How do you reset the code

I’m not sure. I actually bought it to give to someone else and they had difficulty both installing and setting. The instructions are not clear. Maybe you can contact the seller and ask for some assistance.
