Ibanez Tube Screamer Mini

This is a standard pedal, no question. Amazing creamy texture, great harmonics and very versatile. Every guitar player should have this pedal. I love the mini version!

There's something about them trying to get that 808 sound with a softer circuit that makes this one absolutely scream in the tele > ts > twin scenario. It's such an amazing sound. I had a friend with the jhs green tree pedal come over and we tried all of them against it. It's its own thing, and it's a great thing. It's almost like someone took the stacked soft clipping masterpiece that is the daytripper circuit and somehow added it. Like a brick in a pillow. it's such a great sound. It's great for fender single coils.

If your amp is solid state and/or digital, maybe not so much. It was designed back in the '70s to push the preamp tubes beyond clipping to get a roar/crunch. Works very well in that application. And of course it's built like a little tank, so you won't break it unless you're really trying to. I've become a real fan of these mini pedals mostly because they save so much room on your board. They were able to achieve this mostly by eliminating the onboard battery compartment, which really is unnecessary considering the daisy chains and power blocks available now. Excellent pedal. Really good bargain for quality.

Exactly what I would expect from a TS, just smaller. The breakup is real!!

I’m still playing around with this pedal, figuring out how to best configure and use this in my pedal chain. So far I like the size and sound for the price. I will say I still like my old ‘tank’ Tubescreamer pedal from the 90’s—has slightly better compression and tone for blues to hard rock. However this new pedal is very similar, but in a smaller, more durable package. I find this pedal has a brighter tone, so I like for more rock leads, but I don’t like as much for rhythm (at least so far)

It’s a versatile tool. You can get the SRV tone but I use it to increase clarity and power. It boosts your pedal board.

I love the sound. It it is controlable similar to a tube amp. Good amount of overdrive.I was surprised that it didn't have provision to be battery powered. You have to use a 9 volt DC adapter which was not included.

Ok ok. You're reading this and you're asking if this mini pedal does the job? the answer is yes. the price is good? yes.But let me tell you one thing. This pedal, compared to the other model offer a better low end sound. It's more a mid range and lowrange frequency pedal. In the end, it scream! but not too much in the high end. It is perfect for my need cause I like my sound to be beefy and this pedal is giving me that. If you're looking for a ''treble booster'' this is not what this pedal will offer, go for a electro harmonix screaming bird instead.Have fun!

I love this little overdrive pedal. I wanted that Tube Screamer sound for my Strat and Fender tube amp and I got it. Durable and uses the same DC adaptor as my other Boss and Big Muff pedal. Very nice.
