We have 5 cats and a dog who delights in collecting their little "presents". On top of that, kitty litter got everywhere, even with our litter catching mats. I finally had enough and started searching for solutions. I bought one of these to try it out.The cats had no trouble transitioning, the amount of litter tracking was significantly reduced, and the dog lost a free snack source. Success! I bought more to replace the rest of our standard boxes.Pros1. The cat entrance is larger than other top entry boxes I looked at. Much better for our two chubby kitties.Cons:1. Shipping cost. I could have picked up 5 high end self-cleaning litter boxes for less money after shipping was added to the price of these boxes. But I couldn't find a better option to address all my concerns in the space we have available.2. The included litter scoop. It's a clever idea to be able to hook a scoop on the litter box, but the scoop feels too dainty. Maybe it would feel more appropriate for the job with only one cat?3. I have had to experiment with alternative deodorizing methods, but I don't think the charcoal filter in standard litter boxes really does anything, anyway.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought this because I couldn't get my kitten used to the Litter Kwitter toilet training kit.It's the first time I've used a top entry cat litter box, usually I buy the large litter box from Argos which has a sliding lid assembly so it's easy to scoop out.I like the fact this has a small hook to hang the lid off the back of the box whilst you're scooping it. I can't say as it stops litter transfer as I still get plenty of litter transfer from my cat coming in and out.It's a decent size but I have a Maine Coon kitten so I'm not sure it'll suit him when he's fully grown, but for now it's a very decent car litter box especially for the money. The Argos litter box is £30 and very sturdy and I really liked the carry handle which this top entry one is obviously missing.

Finally something which actually works to greatly reduce the amount of litter tracked onto the floor. Still needs a quick daily vacuum, but nowhere near on the scale of our previous covered tray. Downside is it does smell a little more as it is uncovered. Our cats took to it quickly and oddly one of them has taken to weeing through the holes on top rather than going in! All small issues and well worth the purchase.

I am really pleased I ordered this. When we first opened the box we had to laugh as it looks like a mop bucket for a really large person! However I really like that it is large, simple, study and easy to clean - no fiddly bits. The cats took to it straight away too. The only negative point is the scoop which isn’t very food and doesn’t hang on the hook well. I’m just using my old scoop instead.

I used to have a normal open litter tray (see tray on right in pic). Unfortunately the cat used to end up kicking litter out of it. Now I use this litter box and i’m not having to clean up as much. Some litter does come out on to the lid but that tends to be the litter trapped in her feet. She’s not able to kick any litter out of this. I’m very happy with this litter box. It does look nice and works well. I would recommend this.

2 out of 3 cats managed to get their head round this very easily, one didn’t and proceeded to continually wee next to it. Not pleased. I think it can be a little dark which is why they may be hesitant but overall good. It doesn’t completely limit smell as it’s open, but it’s much nicer to look at than an open tray
