multifunctional book
This is a great book, but in fact you will need a previous knowledge and experience to go deeply inside it. The author wrote a brief but excellent lines about some of the most essentials points of Highest Yoga Tantra: generation and completion stages, divine pride, 4 joys, differences about illusory bodies, renunciation, compassion, wisdom, clear light, etc. Rather, in the final part, Daniel Cozort compares Kalachakra and Guhyasamaja stages of completion. This is not a book that deeply discusses the matter, neither a list of sadhanas practices, but its a stunning map for those who have some experience on the Highest Yoga Tantra or it could be a great reference and introduction about it.

Extraordinary
This extraordinary and pithy book is the perfect companion to Je Tsongkhapa's Lamrim texts, his Secret Mantra texts, and his glorious completion stage text, A Lamp To Illuminate The Five Stages.Daniel Cozort's book is like listening to the Beatles whereas Tsongkhapa's texts are like listening to Mozart.

Solid book
As other reviewers have noted, this is a fine overview of the topic. I only wish to add, because it may be of interest to some readers and is not discernable from the promotional material, that Cozart discusses the matter entirely from the Geluk perspective. Readers interested in Sakya and Kagyu perspectives will have to look elsewhere.

Very detailed
This is a great book and I found it very helpful. I read it prior to reading Tsongkhapa's Six Yoga's of Marlow as that (to me) is quite a complicated read! Daniel has done a great job of explaining what can often seem inexplicable. Like many of these texts I found it a little 'wordy' and repetitive but it's written in plain, easy to understand English, and it will definitely be helpful to you in navigating this path.
