Surprisingly Yummy, and for the price... Wow.
For quite some time, I enjoyed imported coffee (I know, most all is ;), like Lavazza Super Crema, just as my regular daily driver. I would experiment with various other offshoots of blends, flavors, even quite a few other brands, and in the end, I found Lavazza Top Class Filtro (not regular Filtro, different) to be my favorite, edging out Super Crema. To give some further information which I consider is really essential for a coffee review, is to describe the coffee of which I am most a fan. For me, that is a medium to medium-heavy blend, with nutty notes, maybe some chocolate hints, etc... That fall sort of rich and creamy blend is my all-around favorite.I'll leave off a whole lot more detail than that. I'm no coffee expert, but surely like most, I know what I like.I also well know what I don't. I won't go into too much detail here, but suffice it to say, that as far as US Store Brands go, I don't consider many to be very good at all. To me, the worst offender regarding store brand is all of it being pre-ground. I mean, as it is likely nitrogen filled in the bag to maintain that initial freshness, once opened, each passing hour is just killing that flavor. My store brand go-to in this department, when necessary, has been Gevalia House Blend. Just as described earlier, nutty, smooth, good flavor, aroma and a decent kick, but not enough to have me zooming. Yet even this not inexpensive coffee won't pass 3-4 days when it simply is about as meh as most any other coffee out there. Truly it is a travesty that they don't sell the brand as whole bean, but that's another story.Pretty much all else that is "lesser", i.e. Folgers, Melita, etc... They are all barely passable at all. Absolutely not very good, and that's being nice. Get the job done, but not there to be really enjoyed and savored. All of that providing the groundwork from whence I offer my thoughts here, based on budget and really just taking a chance, I saw a bag here for a little over $6, and I pulled the trigger. I didn't expect much at all, but was really just grabbing myself a small bag while I waited out a bump in price hikes for my favorites. They had doubled in price for a small hitch, and while I expected it would pass, it was a n opportunity to try something new.Ok, the end is actually fairly simple. This coffee did for me at about 50c an ounce, what $1-2 an ounce at times was through Lavazza and other like brands. It was very fresh. Aromatic. Quite nutty, and for the price, I don't think there is a coffee that can compare, not at least one I've tried.I have now purchased 4 more bags in a row, and I don't know if I'll even change off, so long as they keep delivering this coffee at this price point. I mean, I even hesitated writing this review, lest I draw more attention to them and they begin raising their prices. C'est la vie. Credit and honor where it is due. (Timmy, remember this ole boy when your business picks up, and do me a solid! :D )Having fun, of course. In the end, I am really quite happy with this product, and for the price. Just, wow. I suggest you give it a try if you haven't already. In truth, I wouldn't compare the store served coffee to this, as this is simply much better.Oh, last tip, and a must if you really want the best coffee can offer. You absolutely must grind it fresh. Seriously. Grinders are so cheap, and the smell of fresh ground coffee alone is worth the bump in experience. Let alone the flavor incomparably better.Hope this helps. Ps. Don't buy it all up!Lates!

Tim Horton's Coffee makes the start of my days
Excellent smooth-tasting coffee at a bargain price. If you want fresh coffee, whole beans that you grind daily will make the best coffee ever, and these quality beans provide a real eye-opener to start your day.

A very nice medium roast, medium low acid coffee
I've seen a few other reviews that referred to this Tim Horton's coffee as a "good old fashioned coffee." I think that's a pretty good way of putting it and here's what I mean by that. In days gone by you could purchase any of several big name brand coffees at your local grocer and be greeted with a great roasted coffee aroma upon opening and a very agreeable medium body medium acid coffee in the cup after brewing. Those days are gone for a decade or two now, but if you know what I'm talking about from those days and want to experience them again, this coffee from Tim Horton's is the way to do it.This was my first order of this coffee. I turned to it because I needed something not very expensive to tide me over until my next regular five pound subscribe and save order ships a few weeks from now. I purchased this based on the reviews but honestly wasn't expecting this coffee to be anything more than passable. Well, it is more than passable. It is in fact quite good.Upon opening the bag I found beans of good quality, in good condition and of uniform size and roast. The roast level is what I'd call a City+ to Full City roast, meaning that the coffee has an evenly roasted appearance that is a medium brown, not at all a dark roast, and that a lot of the fruity character of the original varietal remains. (At Full City+ and higher levels, coffees are darker, sugars are beginning to really caramelize to the point that there is some degree of bitterness and oils begin to develop on the bean surface. None of that is the case here.)I ground a portion of beans right after opening and pulled an espresso for sampling. (For those that don't know, espresso doesn't refer to a dark roasted coffee but instead is a method of extraction where a measured amount of water at a controlled temperature is passed through finely ground coffee under pressure. Any coffee can be used to prepare an espresso.) The initial shot I pulled was spot on with good crema. On tasting there was a great "old fashioned" coffee flavor with nice body and medium low acidity. Just delicious really.I've also sampled this coffee with a drip grind in a pour-over drip coffee maker. Again, just a really nice cuppa. If you've had the (all too rare) experience of a really nice fresh cup in a restaurant at breakfast or after dinner, this coffee will remind you of that experience. All in all color me impressed when I didn't expect to be impressed. Great value for a really good coffee. Wish I could make it four and half stars but since I can't, take me word that it's a four plus star coffee at the price. I don't hesitate to recommended it for anyone looking for that "good old fashioned" coffee roast, aroma and flavor. Very nice.On edit (January 7th, 2013):The first time I ordered this coffee was because I needed something to tide me over while waiting for my next regular five pound subscribe and save order to ship. The highest praise I can give a product is to order it again. I've just ordered this Tim Hortons coffee again. And this time I ordered it not because I needed to take a chance on something to tide me over. I ordered it because having tried it, I wanted more.

Oh Canada!
Wow this is good coffee. And with what is going on in the world, YES! Tim Horton's and a grinder is all you need for a great way to start the morning. I like this particular blend as you can brew is weak and it is still "Americano" strong, or you can brew it according to normal directions and it will punch you in the face like a hockey player.but it's not bitter. It's not burned or harsh, and it doesn't have that ammonia-taste many dark coffees have. It's just pure "coffee" flavor, but like I mentioned, it runs a bit strong, so grind it fresh and use sparingly until you find your preferred balance. LOTS of caffeine punch also. Don't plan on sleeping any time soon.
