Good Bags ...
These bags are great. Work well on my Trek 4300 mountain bike. Colors are sharp, construction seem to be quality, and I think they will hold up well. It's awesome that these bags can be used individually or combined (they link together at the top). They are a little smaller than I thought they would be looking at the pictures. Don't get me wrong- they fit perfectly on my headland stem rack. But as far as what they will hold- I'd say in one of the bags you could get a few textbooks, a cellphone and a wallet and an ipod or mp3 player, or in one you could fit probably a change of clothes, even pants, but maybe not shoes. If you bring a lot of stuff back and forth you may want to search larger bags. or if you are going to make sizable grocery runs, may not be the bag for you. But if you just have a laptop, a book, and a change of clothes these would be great for you. Interestingly only one bag securely clips to the rack itself. This makes sense I think because if you are joining the two bags together (at the top) But I would have included clips on both bags (currently there are two clips on one bag). These clips are great and seem very secure and well made but note they are PLASTIC so if you ride in really cold weather I could see these getting brittle (they rely on the springyness of plastic so they need to be flexible). Also the strip of velcro at the bottom to secure the bottom of the bags seems a little inconvenient. I have NOT taken this bags out but I will add to the review as needed. The product does seem well made though. The last thing I will point out is that the backing of each bag is not as stiff as i am accustomed to. I have trek bags that are very stiffed back. These aren't as much, but they do retain their shape. I'd most likely buy these again, but I really need to see how they will perform on the road - they look like they should hold up well though!

misleading information regarding detachability and unjustifiable packaging partially ruins an otherwise 5 stars experience
I would give this a 5 star save for the following issues:1. I was wondering why the delivery costs as much as the product itself, but decided to purchase anyway due to the products exact size which is rare (and fits my rack), and due to the good reviews. when i got the package i was furious - the packaging could contain as much as 4 products, not 1 ! a package fitting the product would probably save me 20 or 30 % of the total cost...real sloppy work for an international delivery i must say2. WARNING REGARDING CARRYING BY SHOULDER STRAP AND DETACHABILITY: the major bag (the bag that has hooks that connect to the rack) ***does not have a suitable connection for the adjustable strap***. this is written nowhere. that strap is for use only with the 2nd bag and that one can not be used alone, because it has no hooks.why is this important ? if you buy this product partly due to the detach ability of the 2 bags, know this: this means that taking only 1 bag outdoors means that you can't use the shoulder strap while you're shopping. you will have to grab it by the handle and carry it around. and again, taking the other bag means you need to take both bags (as only the major 1 has hooks). if you live in a place with no thefts i'm sure this makes sense: just leave the major one on the bike. but as it happens, most of us leave in cities where there is always a danger that someone takes your nifty bag while you're busy loading the other with groceries .it could easily be improved, either by designing the connection of the two bags so that it connect the strap **while the two bags are connected**, or by creating new cheap strap connection on the sides of each bags, which is exactly what i'm going to do when i find someone who can sew this for me.materials, form and condition are all great so this product is usable and looks like it's going to be for a long time. weight capacity is fantastic, at least as a new product - I tested it by loading 10 Kilos (water packs) on each side and drove my electrical bikes on rough terrain, including jumping from sidewalks and nothing happened. i have been using the bag daily for 2 weeks now, mostly for groceries.

Does the job and fits the Stromer city kit rack, feels a bit cheap, but hasn't let me down yet
This is my first set of Panniers. I have been using them for the last 2 month on a Stromer e-bike with a city kit for commuting about 20 miles each way. I bought them due to the good reviews and high rank on Amazon, and I got lucky. It turns out there are very few panniers that can fit on Stromer's non-standard city kit rack, and this happens to be one of them. The plastic clips go on securely and the Velcro strap can go around the rear part of the rack frame. The front part just barely comes in contact with the rack frame, but that hasn't caused any issues. The way my seat is adjusted on the small frame version, I get no heel strike, but I admit it is pretty close, so that may be an issue depending how your riding position is. These are fairly small in size, but I can fit everything I need snugly. I have pants, shirt and shoes on one side and a 12'' laptop with a lunch bag and some small accessories on the other side.On the negative side, the shoulder strap feels pretty cheap, and the materials do not look or feel premium compared to other (more expensive) panniers I often see on the road. I already see some signs of wear on the parts of the bag material that come in contact with the rack frame. The materials also doesn't seem like it would hold up in heavy rainfall. That said, these panniers have already survived one crash completely unscathed and when I got caught in a downpour, everything stayed dried inside. So I guess you can't judge this book by its cover. But a nicer shoulder strap and perhaps a rain cover would make this 5* for me.

Bike Panniers
These are very handy and look really smart.I found the only problem was the piece that joins the two panniers together could have been a bit wider as it doesn't quite go all the way over the rack, but apart from that, I'm pleased with them.

They were very nice while they lasted
They were very nice while they lasted, bought them at the end of March and they broke along the stitching today which is more than unacceptable.
