Small detail
It's nice, well made, matches my decor...but my husband pointed out the metal hardware that hoods it together hits every surface you swat, causing possible damage to walls and surfaces. We can't use it on our stainless steel fridge because it might scratch it, and we're afraid of using it on the wall in case it chips off the paint or something. So that small detail really makes it more so for decoration than for use.

Flies are no more
I’ve been able to kill 100% of flies with this. No complaints. Seems much more sturdy than plastic fly swatters.

Works great, smacks flies fast
This thing bc the swatting part is leather has very good flexible flappability. I can wack a fly on a corner of wall or edge of cabinet and it molds and flexes to kill the fly, no breaking and chilling or flies getting away like those plastic ones.

Awesome
Okay, I felt kind of stupid for buying this fly swatter, it's a ridiculous thing. But man it is so much better than those plastic and wire things you get for $1. I like that I can swat flies right out of the air with it. Buy this. You won't regret it.

Well worth the money!
For years, I would buy the plastic fly swatter from the store. They'd last a week or two at the most, before the plastic part came off of the painted metal handle or the plastic handle. "I guess I only spent $1, so... We didn't lose much." I'd not buy another one that whole season, but would the next. Wash, rinse, repeat. Then a few years ago, I decided I wasn't wasting even that money and putting plastic toxic crap in our house. Then I found these wood and leather fly swatters. At the time, it was $15 for a 2 pack. I bought these last summer (end of June) and haven't had any issues with them. They seem to be better at surprising the flies than the toxic plastic swatters, too. We certainly kill more in a week than with the others! We didn't need these really, beyond September, last year. But the flies have been TERRIBLE this year, so these were pulled out back in April. We have definitely gotten our monies worth out of them, and they are still going strong!

It does what it needs to do
I didn’t have any problems with the hardware included unlike other reviews. Mine seemed to be the right size. I didn’t like how one side was the “raw side of the ‘hide’” of this synergetic material. It would have been nice if it were double sided with the finish. Makes for guts not staining the underside if you happen to swat on that side.I bought a two pack and thought about using both panels for one handle but then I’d be out a second swatted I intended on using.

Embarrassing Father’s Day gift
What do you get your dad for Father’s Day when he has everything? A leather fly swat of course. I had it delivered to his house so I didn’t see it till later. It’s small, looks cheap and he doesn’t use it. He says every gross bit of the fly sticks to the leather. And it’s smaller than a standard plastic swatter. I’m embarrassed that I gave it to him. Lesson learned. Thankfully it’s not the only thing I got him. Love you Dad!

This does not come fully assembled
What an annoyance to order a fly swatter that requires assembly. It's not difficult to assemble, but it's not the kind of thing you'd expect to have to do. You open this thing and then spend 1-5 minutes assembling. And this isn't particularly clear when browsing. The product photos hint at it but do not make clear that this thing you'd expect to come assembled in fact isn't.

Functional and cute!
Works like a gem, the nice wide pad is easy to swatand I love that it’s not an eyesore in the house. Easy to wipe the leather clean of guts
