54 Pound N52 Grade Neodymium Jeweler Recycle Metal Test Magnet and Pickup Tool

I bought this after my first purchase of a smaller N52 Neodymium Test Magnet. This one is awesome! If you are wearing loose fitting pants and place this magnet in your pocket be careful where you walk because it has caught metal door frames on me and the bumper of my truck several times! It does not hurt but funny as hell when your pants pull outward to the side, and people are around to notice!!! Another note of caution, be careful not to place this in a pocket you have your wallet or any other magnetic sensitive item or you may be getting new bank or credit cards. I did not have this happen, but the power of this magnet is surely enough to destroy the data on a magnetic strip if it gets clo​se enough. This magnet has enough force to even cause a slight movement of money such as an 5,10 or twenty dollar bill since there is a slight metallic property to the ink or paper in the bills. If you are looking for a powerful small magnet to test a metal, jewelry or even conduct your own experiments than this one will do just fine.

Almost too strong to carry with you all the time, I carried it around with my key chain, but it would snap tight against the car body or any metallic object that came near it. I ended up removing it from keychain

Update: After finding out the dimension of this magnet is 1" x 1/2" the gauss measuring is correct for an N52. So I am pleased with the results. Great seller that immediately contacted me about my concerns. Highly recommend. Would like to see him sell something a bit stronger with about 100lb lifting power in a nice mount. I checked the price, and it isn't all that unreasonable. So don't feel like you are getting ripped off. I've seen them much higher in price and slightly lower. This falls in the middle of the pack and is backed by Amazon and a good seller.Thank you.Previously: It doesn't seem like a true N52 as some of my N48's of the same size have much more pulling power. I'm a bit dissappointed. Nice design though, I wish the seller could check on these magnets.

This magnet is a beast. I bought and loved the smaller version of this magnet - N50 4 LB Pull Strength Neodymium Key Ring Pocket Rare Earth Magnet - and saw this and pretty much purchased it as a novelty item.I can definitely seeing it being used to hang up tools or lights or something perhaps in a workshop of some sort.If it fun to challenge people to try to pull this off magnetic surfaces with only a vertical pulling motion and not a shearing one.

Very Strong magnet! I now have my toy with me and I am playing with it. As advertised it is very useful for picking up metallic object. I am now using this tool to clear my pathway of any especially sharp object that can puncture my tires/wheels. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to be free of sharp metallic things.
