Not quite what anticipated black-and-white outline only
Certainly a decent value for the money however the imagery and the add copy is slightly misleading. In the description it does not address that all the transfers are black-and-white outlines the pictures imply that the iron on transfers are color or at least some of them are that is not the case something for everyone to be aware of

Beautiful Images
This is a book filled with lovely images. And there are multiple images for borders, as well as big central images. The only caveat is that the transfers aren't so great for dark fabrics. So, you've got to be willing to use a tracing stylus or something (on transfer paper) if you're wanting to embroider on dark fabrics. Still, it's totally worth it, because these are great images.

Good little pattern book
I bought this used but it came in great condition. It is hard to find celtic pattern books and transfers so I am very happy with this one

One time use only
These beautiful yet repetitive designs are easy to iron onto white or very light material. The designs wash out in one or two washes. They are not reusable. Many designs do not have fairies or butterflies but have dragons and talons. There are many round shaped Celtic designs that are stunning and feminine. My kids and I as a homeschool project decorated pillow cases and shirts with friends for a craft.

Great designs and the iron on really made it easy
Great designs and the iron on really made it easy. Have used several of them repeated times and still got good imprint.

Perfect designs
I love Celtic designs, and, as I have a daughter in Irish dance, I am on the lookout for designs for dresses. This book has transferrable designs that are just wonderful. Some are very intricate, others rather simple. There are large designs and small ones; pictish designs and celtic knots. I recommend it to anyone looking for these designs.

This is my Fouth copy of this book.
As you may have guessed, I'm of Celtic descent. I was also taught to embroider at a young age by my grandmother. I have used and re-used these patterns for so many things, I never seem to run out of ideas.

Nice drawings but iron on transfers don't work
This book has plenty of beautiful celtic knot work designs that you could trace or use carbon paper to make a transfer. However the book is sold as having iron on transfers, it even suggests that you can use them multiple times. It advises pinning the pattern to stop smudging of the ink. It would take a celtic hero like Cúchulainn to get any ink from the paper, definitely no smudging, no matter how hot the iron was. So if you want a fairly nice book of patterns it is ok but don't buy if you want a transfer book.

Bitterly disappointed
It should be made clear that these transfers, when ironed on, are so pale that even on white fabric it is difficult to see them. I bought this book so I could embroider on a pale blue cotton garment, and the image didn't show at all, however long I held the iron in place. And when trialling on white cotton the image was hardly visible, despite trying several different heat settings and holding iron in place for considerably longer than recommended time.

Works well with practice
Worked great on cream coloured cotton fabric. Takes a bit of practice to get used to, just wish they would produce a strong image after more than two uses.
