MTM Ammo Crate Utility Box ACR7

Generally impressed at how handy these cases are.I bought two, one to hold a 250 cartridge slab of 12 gauge shells (ACR5) And this one to hold my Ear defenders, shooting vest, Glasses etc or to store two extra slabs of shells.There are a few minor 'Sink' lines in the moulding but not horrendous (this is to do with how the product cools down after moulding and the design of the reinforcing webbing that adds strength to the box).The clips seem good, and the hinges seem adequate. There is a rubber gasket all around the lip although I have no intention of testing how good the rubber seal is on this. I wont be trekking through a swamp or throwing gear from boat to boat, but based on the two clip design I wouldn't expect a 100% seal here.It may be worth noting that the colour is more 'Grey-ish Green' than I expected but that is subjective of course, we all see colour differently.The boot of my car is now much more organised on a shooting trip thanks to these, I will be buying more in the near future.

So a previous reviewer lied a little.... This box is only capable of storing 500 12 bore cartridges . Maybe they got confused, but it can only take two boxes of 250 cartridges, 1 on top of the other. That being said it seems well made and relatively sturdy with good clips to secure it, although there is still plenty of flex in the body and lid. The clips seem tough and inspire confidence that they won't instantly snap off and the hinge seems like it will last too.Overall definitely worth £24.

These MTM boxes are all great quality and strong enough not to break when full with ammo, which is mostly.. .errr, lead. Hannams are a joy to deal with.

Strong well made construction. stackable and light-weight. ideal for flatbeds and storage for tools in boots of cars or garages, sheds. showerproof and rodent proof. strong securing clips. multiple sizes available. 4 stars as only had for a short period.

Very good. Will take two boxes of 500 12 guage cartridges on top of each other. 1000 in total. Bung in a bag of silica to absorb any moisture and the o-ring seal in the lid stops the damp getting in. Cartridgrs will stay good for a long time.

Order came before estimated time of arrival. Very strong and has good seal. Holds 2 slabs of cartridges so 500 in total. Have brought 2 more.
