I have an 2bva2116 fuel pump do you have a replacement or an seal kit I screwed up and left the return valve closed and blew the seal out

I don't have any parts! I just bought a new pump and installed it as is and it has been working great for a year now.

What shuts off the oil spray when furnace reaches temperature

There is a probe in the furnace that senses when the burner has reached the shut off temperature. This causes a relay to de-energise cutting power to the burner motor, oil pump and igniter stopping the oil flow and burner ignition.

Will this replace my A1RA-7738? I have a Lanair MX300. The 7738 was a replacement I was told would work and did. Not sure what original was

No. The A1RA-7738 is a 1725 RPM pump, thats meant for waste oil furnaces, like your Lanair. This A2VA-7116 is a 3450 RPM pump (double speed), meant for pumping #2 or higher fuel oil. You need to find a pump with a compatible speed,and fuel type to what you have.

I currently own the p4-70R model. Does this one replace that model? I can't seem to find my model anywhere.

The P4-70R is a "B" pump meaning two stage, the replacement is a Suntec model B2YA8916. If you do not have a two pipe system go with the A2VA-7116.

Poor packaging

The packaging is poor. Though this item is not so heavy but proper packaging should be observed so that the item will not get damage during shipment. I hope this pump is alright after I install it soon.

its nice to have heat again

thank God for amazon! it is good to have heat again!! i think its a crying shame no one works on fuel oil furnaces anymore and heating contractors and suppliers refuse to sell you the parts you need to fix it yourself. we were with out heat for almost the whole month of march they we found that you had the part we needed

Be aware if something does not look right,it may not be right

installed pump today, pump makes noise, black oil at bleeding, pressure dropping using fixed gauge, when received pump had no screws, open ports, black paint was scratched, spotty paint. missing instructions, no warranty papers, the lightweight paper box has a label marked as NEW.My old pump performed better than this so called NEW pumpI changed many pumps in the past, which are purchase locally.Now I have to shop local again pump had a leaky front seal
