Review: One Wonderful Christmas Movie - Jennifer has it all--a gloriously large house in the suburbs, a high-powered job in the city, a precocious young son, and a well-to-do boyfriend named Richard, who wants to marry her. What she doesn't have is the proper Christmas spirit, and she can't cook. On top of that her mother--who she was counting on to make Christmas dinner--has decided to spend the Holidays in Florida. Enter free-spirited Morgan Derby, who arrives in the company of Jennifer's quirky Uncle Ralph. Morgan loves Christmas and as a former chef knows how to cook a gourmet turkey dinner. The problem is Jennifer finds him obnoxious. Obnoxious he may be, but Morgan is a problem-solver. He installs her outdoor Christmas lights, helps retrieve the only gift her son truly wants for Christmas--a Rocketwheel bicycle (that despite being paid for, is being withheld by a crooked toy store owner). He buys a real Christmas tree to replace the fake tinsel tree being stowed in the basement. He helps her with last-minute grocery shopping, and, on Christmas eve decorates her living room and the Christmas tree. And for Christmas day, he does the prep-work for a lavish turkey dinner. At the same time, Jennifer's unsmiling boyfriend Richard, comes and goes, while growing increasingly suspicious that Morgan is invading his personal territory as Jennifer's suitor. At a Christmas eve party Richard asks Jennifer to marry him. Instead of being happy, Jennifer is annoyed at Richard for having proposed to her before a group of strangers. However, she reluctantly accepts. Having returned from the party, Richard announces to Morgan that he and Jennifer are now engaged. He then asks Morgan to leave. As an incentive, he offers to pay for Morgan's room at the airport hotel. Morgan agrees to go, and writes a thank-you note to Jennifer. When Morgan turns away, Richard steals the note and stuffs it in his overcoat pocket. Christmas morning, Jennifer is surprised to discover Moran has left. "He didn't even have the courtesy to say goodbye," she laments. Later that day, Richard and his parents arrive expecting to partake in the family's turkey dinner. When Jennifer learns that Richard took Morgan's thank-you note, while still annoyed with Richard's surprise wedding proposal, she returns the engagement ring, and asks Richard and his parents to leave. All the while Jennifer has been gradually falling in love with Morgan, whom she has learned to appreciate as an indispensable helpmate, and who rescued her from her Scrooge-like attitude toward Christmas. Encouraged by Uncle Ralph to follow her true feelings, she pursues Morgan at the airport, and brings him back home to join her family for the Christmas dinner Morgan has made possible. Henry Winkler is delightful as the quirky uncle. Beautiful Brooks Burns is enchanting as Jennifer. Warren Christie as free-spirited Morgan is positively charming. Together with Henry Winkler, he breathes life into what could have been a rather dull and predictable Christmas tale.

Wonderful Set for any movie fan!
I LOVE THESE! I am a huge Hallmark fan anyway, but my TV has the Christmas movies playing all the time that they are on TV. I now own about 20-25 Hallmark Christmas movies and am probably not done. I watch Christmas movies all year around just for that feel good feeling they give you. We need that all year round. This set of movies is a gem, especially for less than $10. Whether you have or haven't seen this set of movies, you won't regret buying these. They are a must for any Christmas movie fan!

Good Collection of Christmas Movies
If you like Christmas Movies, this is a good selection to have. Since these movies are a bit older, Hallmark doesn't play them very often. I would like people to know that you will receive 2 DVD's but you have to TURN THE DVD OVER to get the other movie! They don't tell you that! I thought that I received a defective set of DVD's so I just took a chance and turned them over and it played. So you get 4 movies on 2 DVD's.
