As a grandparent of too very energetic grandchildren it is hard to say who loves this product more. They love catching ladybugs, ants, lightning bugs and with this BugLoupe Magnifier even spiders. They are entertained for a couple of hours watching these creepy crawlers move about inside the jar interacting with one another. They are amazed at seeing all the bug's small eyes, legs ,mouth and antennae so clearly due to the magnification making them even creepier. I like that it gives me some hard earned down time.

This magnifying glass is super sturdy and has held up well to my toddler for several months now. He loves to look at everything under it! Definitely recommend for outdoor (or indoor) exploring!

This is a very cool tool for children (or adults) to use. We got to view this wolf spider up close. They're beneficial because they'll eat other harmful spiders (i.e. black widows) but do not create a web. I had no intention to kill this one I found in the house, but using this the kids were able to see it's eyes, and the hairs on it's legs. The fangs were huge (has a painful bite, but venom is not medically significant). Would definitely buy it this product again.

I bought this for my kids (ages 6 and 7), who are crazy about bugs. It's great-- they have not only used it for its intended purpose, but they've also used it for basic science exploration (seeing the dot printing in newspapers, examining the weave of fabric, looking at frost crystals on the window, looking at the crystalline structures of salt and sugar, etc.). It provides a solid, moderate level of magnification. I love that the cup holds the lens at its focal distance from the object without any adjustments or expertise necessary; this means kids can use it on their own without getting frustrated. I have explained that they need to be careful with it because it's fragile, but obviously they are only capable of so much care in this respect, and luckily the loupe can take a bit of a beating. I'm very pleased. For a stellar gift for a bug-loving kid, I would recommend combining this with a field guide.

bought it for kids to use with coin collecting hobby. Not a very powerful lens or clear focus but will work for fun hobby

A kid or adult can safely examine an insect and then set it free. No way for captive to breath external air.

Safely trap a critter for transporting, and also get the bonus of a decent macro photo! Just put your phone camera lens over the magnifier and center your visitor. Then to remove them back to safety, you can slip a card halfway under, wait for them to crawl onto the card, and then slip it the rest of the way under and lift the card and lens together, escorting the beast to a new and safer location.

La compre para sustituir una que se me daño. Es un poco màs grande que la que tenia, pero buena construcción y buen aumento para un lente de mesa de mapas.

So glad I purchased this for my bug explorers. Much bigger than expected! Could easily place a medium sized butterfly in it to view, which I did not think it would be big enough for. The lens is very clear, much better than expected and perfect for little eyes, even I am fascinated looking at things in it!! I’m not worried they will break it because it is made of very sturdy plastic and the lens is very thick, it is very good quality and I’m expecting it to last.

Nos gusta. Funciona muy bien. No tienes que coger los bichos con la mano para verlos sino vale con que les pongas el vaso encima. Se ve muy bien. Faltaría una bolsa o cajita para guardarlo... pero bueno. El producto en si gusta y funciona muy bien. Para pequeños exploradores perfecto!!

Ce modèle est imposant avec ses 10cm de diamètre mais il offre un champ de vision très confortable. Personnellement je l'utilise pour contrôler la qualité des soudures de cartes électroniques en technologie CMS et je suis parfaitement satisfait de cette loupe. Le grossissement n'est pas trop fort ce qui permet de voir encore bien net même en élevant la base d'un bon cm pour survoler les composants à oberver, ce qui est bien pratique pour mon utilisation. j'ai aussi la version 10x de cette marque qui permet de mieux observer les détails mais le champ de vision est très étroit et l'image est floue des qu'on élève le socle (heureusement on peut inverser le sens d'utilisation ce qui permet de faire la mise au point a une distance plus basse que du côté du socle). La version 4.5x est la plus agréable pour mon usage et sa qualité de fabrication est irréprochable pour un prix que je juge tout à fait raisonnable. Je suis donc ravi de cet achat.
