UPDATE AUGUST 2018: Most of these reviews are from the old formula, the product has since changed (I spoke with the company) and anyone looking at reviews should only consider reviews from 2018 forward because the new formula is so disappointing. The new formula smells like a cleaning product, and isn’t hydrating at all like the old product.Oh how I used to love this product! You can see my original review below but I guess what’s the point in reading all that now that the formula has been changed? My review went from 5 stars to 2 stars. I actually thought someone had sold me an old expired bottle. My first thought was that the product had gone rancid. But I contacted the company and they confirmed that this is indeed a new formula. The smell reminds me of lemon pledge or some other cleaning product. To top it off it isn’t hydrating so I’m left with the same dilemma I had 5 yrs ago when I started using this product: put on lotion OR use my gradual self tanner? Anyone who has been buying this product and loved it, be aware that the new formula is so far from the old formula that you may as well start the hunt for the perfect gradual tanner all over again. I will be doing this and update this review with any product I may find that is a suitable substitute. So disappointing.....Also, anyone buying based off of the reviews, please be aware that many of the reviews are for the old formula which is so different from the new formula that they really should have to enter this as a new product and start their reviews from scratch again. The following is my original 5 star review which no longer applies so probably isn’t worth the time spent reading it. I’ve included a picture of the new packaging vs old one. The new one has a yellow cap (mine unfortunately came with a broken pump but I’m not too disappointed since I likely won’t be using it). Just be aware that this product performs, smells and hydrates about as well as the generic up and up self tanner sold at target. So you might save yourself a few bucks and buy that instead.Original review for old formula:I'm ghost pale. So pale that I'm almost transparent. I tan easily during the summer but avoid the sun because I don't want wrinkles and skin cancer. This is the BEST self tanning moisturizer I have ever used. BUT your satisfaction is probably going to depend on what you expect. There is NO self tanner smell. I've tried a lot of self tanners but every single one left that gross smell. This is the only one that doesn't that I have ever found. The tan it provides is gradual and very subtle. If you are looking for something dark and really noticeable I would say try something else. This gives a touch of color and I've been using it for over a year and have never had a streak. It also has a ton of antioxidants in it so it's great for your skin while also giving you a natural healthy glow. I won't even try other tanners anymore. You can increase the darkness of the color by applying twice a day instead of once. Another great thing about this product is that unlike most self tanners that you apply at night and shower off in the morning, you can apply this right out of the shower and wear it all day. It's also very moisturizing and smells sort of like tropical fruit and bubble gum. If you are looking for natural looking subtle color, look no further. If you want to be a bronzed goddess then you'll probably want something like jergens or st tropez but with that dark color comes all the nastiness of self tanners like the horrible smell and the rubbing off on light clothing, streaking etc. You get less color with Everglow but none of the drawbacks of sunless tanner PLUS anti-aging antioxidants!

I got this for an alternative to using the bed. I could tell a difference after the first day and it smells really good! The smell isn't too strong. Ive even used this on my face a couple times and it never irritated it. I will definitely buy this again!!

My best friend turned me on to this lotion and am I glad she did. It doesn't run, and as long as you wash your hands, you won't end up with brown palms. And even better, it isn't shimmery at all. It's worth the price.

I used this for a quick tan look. I appreciated that there was little or no smell, and that the white color of the lotiondid not rub off as other tanning lotions I've used in the past.It has become my #1 tanning lotion to use and recommend.

I like the lotion and it works well without orange. My only complaint is when I received it in the mail it had leaked out in the packaging and the pump was broken. I’ve had to use the pump rod to get the lotion out. It’s just a pain.

Most of all the smell is very acceptable

Although an attempt was made to wrap the product to prevent leakage, the lotion was all over the bottle and the bubble wrap making a mess and making some of the lotion unusable. The bottle needs a regular cap and a separately packed pump. I am burned and it is not a sunburn!!
