great for staple gun!
I bought this to use with surebonder's 9615 upholstery staple gun to reupholster a bunch of chairs. it works great. i'm rather impressed. it is really tiny, easy to use and i'm surprised that it makes no mess of any kind. i sit right on my dinning table to use it. it was loud but not as loud as some reviews made it out to be. the trick is to use it on a piece of carpet. it also is not nearly as loud in a normal room of your house as it is if used in an empty room that has a hard floors and no furniture such as garage or cement basement.my only gripe was that it took me several days to figure out why i couldn't connect it to the staple gun. it does not come with a male quick connector that is needed to attach the hose to power tools. i bought this at home depot for under $2.i read many reviews that complained of it not working. after using it this month i can kind of understand why. it's not the compressor. if you have not used one before i will give you the short list of resons it won't work that all happened to me until i got used to using a compressor.- there is a knob under it that lets it dry between uses. you must close it tightly before using it.- you need to really, really tighten the hose onto the compressor before use.- if you over oil your air tools or always leave them connected, the oil will seep into the male connector at end of hose and trap condensation. if this happens, you will need to wipe out the connector with a paper towel until it feels dry again.- at the end of long work days you'll want to let it dry out. you should take the hose off and hang it so both ends hang down and open the drain knob underneath. I have found it to work super efficiently since i started to do this. now i don't need to keep running it to keep at 60 - 80 psi. although i do have to turn it on ever 10 or 20 minutes for about 30 seconds to keep the psi.

good little compressor not great for pc cleaning!
I bought this to have a small compressor for inside for blowing out pc cases and parts. This compressor is well priced and easy to use. The construction seems fair. It is very loud but its cost is cheap your getting what you pay for. Seems ideal for car tires etc. No fault of the compressor but it fails for what I wanted. The capacity is to small I thought a gallon would be enough but at its max psi which is adequate for blowing dust completely free of equipment it just doesn't last more than 10 seconds. After the initial ten its flow is too weak to meet my needs. It fills fairly quick and will get me by but my advice to someone looking for something to meet computer cleaning needs I would go with a larger capacity. I did not consider that in any way in the rating of the item as it has nothing to do with the quality value performance etc.

This Compressor Is Worth The Money!
17 APR 2010After researching the `cornucopia' of compressors on the market and concluding my own specific needs for such, I decided to purchase this compressor. Good call on my part. After following CH instructions on pre-operation setup, this compressor has performed very well. Within the first 24-hours of receiving it, I used it to add air to vehicle and ATV tires to cleaning the air filter and deck on my mower, to blowing off steps prior to painting. While the coiled air hose takes a little time to get accustomed to, I consider it a minor inconvenience. As many have reported, one may consider the noise level extreme. While you can expect noise from any such device, this inconvenience is limited to only when the device is charging. The portability is a nice added bonus. If you must use an extension cord, make sure the cord is properly rated to the amps and watts of the device. Otherwise, circuit breakers can trip and the device will not work as designed. The use of household-type light duty extension cords may lead to electrical shock hazard, increased fire hazard, and damage to your new compressor. When in doubt, consult with a licensed electrician.Overall, I rate the compressor 5 stars. It beats driving to a service station and throwing away [...] for three minutes of air time. Assuming you can find a service station with a working air hose!Mike[...]
