Stainless Steel Knife Set, 12-Piece

My mother in law recommended this product. She has been using it since she was 20. She is 52 now and in past 22 years she had to buy these only 2 or 3 times. Well she didn't get the 12 pc set, but a 3 or 4 knives set. She said that these knives are great and whenever she had to order a new set was only because she probably lost them or gave it away to someone or simply got bored using the same for year after year, and not because they wear out. I got these and gave it to bunch of my friends and kept 2 for myself. Ever since I am using them they have been working great. I put it in dishwasher and its sharpness is still like brand new. i am using it everyday from past 5 months and I am surprised to get that brand new cut every time. I just didn't like the colors, the off white one looks nice but the red, yellow and green doesn't have the trendy appeal. My mom in law told me that she has seen the same color 20 years ago, I guess they fixwell never tried to alter their product may be because of its great demand.

These knives are excellent! I believe that these are the same knives that are used in subway sandwich chains. They are really great for almost everything, very sharp, serrated, and they stay sharp! Easy to clean and not to mention they are very inexpensive. They are made in Germany I believe and the quality of the knives are also very good and lightweight--the blade is very sturdy in the plastic handles. I've had mine for over a month now and I use them to slice up fruits and veggies, cut through meat and sandwiches. They are also safe in the dishwasher and so far not any sign of rusting or dullness. Great product!

Orange knife (good knife): bought in from Switzerland the teeth are small and fine, and cuts smoothly. Easy to dig into the vegetable and easy to drag when cutting. Green knife (bad knife): bought on Amazon. Rough and big teeth, does not dig in the vegetable and does not drag when cutting. The picture shows the difference in teeth configurations.

What a bargain! Great household and kitchen small utility knives with a nice sharp, hard edge that cuts nearly anything. Grip could use a bit more finger guard but I like the bit of flex in the blade itself. Great for household tasks and if ruined, can be re-edged from one side, but is cheap enough to be disposable, relegated to nastier tasks as it dulls. Well worth buying and I'll buy them again in time!

I bought these based on users' reviews. I waited patiently for them to arrive from India, which took about five weeks. I was a bit disappointed when I opened the package. The plastic (handle) part of the knife was a bit rough and not polished. It's as if their molding process was sub par. I had to file the edges down a bit else the knife was uncomfortable to hold. But I was nicely surprised when I use it to peel a peach, then some steaks for dinner. The knife was very sharp, which made cutting easy and safe. While I think the plastic molding needs more work from the factory, this knife is very good indeed. At less than a dollar per knife, it's hard to complaint - even if they turn out to not last very long.

These are the same knives they use at Subway and they are awesome! We got some 10 years ago and they have never failed us until recently and we just replaced them. These knives have been using in the yard, the garage, as tools, and food prep. Obviously we have separate knives for each area we use them in. We don't use the tool knives in the kitchen. I was shocked that even with all the abuse it took 10 years before these knives needed replacing. I will always buy these! They are better than steak knives. They are not the prettiest knives but when people use them in our house they fall in love with them and buy their own.

My boyfriend in college (more than 20 years ago!) worked at subway and would periodically steal the knives because they were such excellent knives. I’ve had the same one, stolen from subway, for more than 20 years and I use it to cut everything from veggies to meat to bread. After some internet searching and some help from the “What Is This Thing?” Facebook group, I discovered these amazing knives were in fact fixwell knives, and I bought some new ones.

The best knives I have ever used for the longest time! Easy for cutting veggies and fruits. Small yet very efficient and compact, can be easily packed to take on picnics. We usually cut watermelon and cantaloupe on picnics with this knife!

Na gut. Teuer sind sie nicht. Aber beim Tomatentest fallen sie durch: Diese Messer schneiden schräg! Die Tomate oben mittig angesetzt wird nicht glatt halbiert. Der Schnitt driftet zur Seite ab. Sie sind scharf genug, um sich dabei, wenn man die Tomate hält, in den Finger zu schneiden. Ich würde sagen, sie sond damit nicht nur Schrott, sie sind sogar gefährlich! "Finger weg!" wäre hier wohl die passende Empfehlung.

I would advice against it. It is really bad. They are using the name Fixwell for delivering a bad product. It is not even close to the original fixwell knives.
