UpDate: Seller seemed surprised by my review and refund request. I recommended lab testing in case a supplier is cutting the avocado powder with cheap, artificial-sweetener fillers. Hopefully, seller will follow through with that and my refund request.Original: Shockingly sweet. Must be an artificial sweetener bc gives me migraines. If I could figure out how to report them to the USDA, I would, bc this level of mislabeling is a health hazard. Sad bc I really wanted to like. But it isn't even returnable. What a terrible thing, to take advantage of the health of others. Cannot possibly recommend.

I have now tried everything to make this palatable. Nothing has worked. Although this product is advertised as "freeze-dried pulp", it is not revealed that the avocado oil has been pressed from the avocados (55% of an avocado is oil - AND contains the omegas and nutrients), and then the remaining pulp is freeze-dried. Hence, it contains none of the omegas, vitamins, or minerals of the avocado, but only the high carbohydrates. From another nutrition site, the figures indicate that there is a minimal (very minimal) amount of protein (with the ratio of protein to carbohydrates being 1 part protein/72 parts carbohydrates). Once the oil has been removed, the flavour has also been removed. If you are interested only in increasing your carbohydrate intake, this product will work; however, if you'd like a little flavour and nutrition, this product is not the answer. After more research, I found a company in Israel (Cham, Israel) - they have developed a product which appears like it will be palatable and, most importantly, contains all of the omegas as well as the vitamins and minerals that are within a whole avocado (they freeze-dry slices of the fresh avocado and then grind these slices into powder - they do not use the waste product that is available after pressing the oil from the avocado) - someday this should be available in America.

This has zero use for flavor other than ruining something, it's a combination of tart/sour, almost metallic with a chalky/sawdust aftertaste. I imagined It was a combination of bad flour and apple seeds rather than avocado. I do not know what to use this for since all the nutritional oils are gone. I'd give it 1 star but maybe I should have known better... if you want to eat something that feels like bark dust have at it.
