Interesting in the wind garden
It shimmers, blows around easily with the slightest wind. It keeps the starlings off the flight path from their yearly nest at my neighbors, which takes them right over our trampoline. So it’s doing it’s job - no more bird poop on the trampoline! I leave it up all year because it’s interesting to watch. But the wet Seattle weather destroys it rather quickly so I just buy a new one every year. When the wind is blowing hard this wind sock reminds me of the sentinels from the Matrix movie.

No More Bird Fatalities
I have a large window in the front of my house. Every week or so a bird would crash into it, mistaking the image for an open space. I hung three of these under the overhang, about 3 feet out from the window, using small picture hooks. I bent the hooks closed after hanging so that the windsocks could not be blown off the hooks. I like that they are colorless, didn't want the look of colored streamers hanging in my front entry. The windsocks are not as full as pictured. I can see through them, especially if they are blowing in the breeze, a plus for me. Although I would prefer to have an unobstructed view, the bird issue was unacceptable. This is a good compromise.

mounting lines are just string/ lasted a week in the wind
The hoop at the top came folded twice, made it very hard to unfold and maintain a round shape to hold it open. The mounting lines were just string, blew down the lake in a week. for the amount of cost it's pure junk! ( In the Wind) is a much better product, not folded and has monofilament mounting lines. They have lasted over a year .

Works great
I gave this a four star for now with the expectations of raising to a five star in a few months if it holds up to the elements. It has by far exceeded the performance of a “wind sock” I purchased at the same. I bought this to serve as a wind direction indicator and bird deterrent. It’s meeting those needs flawlessly. The cheap windsock had one job and it’s failing miserably because it keeps getting tangled. I should’ve bought two of these streamers.

Keeps the birds off the boat!
We added this to the top fly bridge of our boat to help keep the birds away, and it’s really helped a lot! It’s not too much that it looks obnoxious, but it’s enough to do the job of being reflective and always in movement so that the birds go elsewhere. We’re happy with our purchase!

Substantial heavyweight mylar material's used, but rest of construction not so good.
Gave these a shot.... We are lake property owners and Seagulls seem to love to sit on our pontoon boat and make "deposits" all over the canvas. So we've been using these mylar silver windsocks to keep them away.......AND THEY WORK!!! . We've been using ones from another vendor here on Ebay selling similar ones. Those had some issues with construction, namely, no end swivels to attach it to anything. But I rigged those up and used them for 2 summers until one of them was destroyed by 45mph winds from a freak thunderstorm. These came quickly and I was quite pleased at the weight of the mylar strips and length. It's quite a heavyweight. But upon closer inspection, I have my reservations. Both of them had issues with the grommets punched through the upper sleeve...... where the string attaches. Both socks had sharp edges left from the grommets that weren't punched closed completely with the ends folded over. So I got some pliers and did that. One of the windsocks sleeves at the top wasn't closed together at the bottom. Someone forgot to tape it. So I did that. The previous windsock used heavyweight fishing line........these have white nylon type cord. Swivel & clips on these are mickey mouse and thin. I'll have to change those out or I think any kind of strong wind could deform and stretch them out.....and there goes the windsock. But.......... for the price, quality of mylar and length, these look like they'll hold up better than the ones costing almost twelve bucks each. BTW they're all made in China

This sucker is big!
We had a downy woodpecker determined to make his home in our attic this winter.1"+ diameter holes, as round as could be, where the eave met the outside wall.Too big to caulk, and more alarming than amusing. This Windsock is just the ticket. Note the length! There's at least threefeet of tinsel, with another foot (approx.) to the tip of the very solidbit of hardware that it hangs from.Looks nice when it's just hanging there, and the holographic patternon the foil works great, especially when the wind is blowing.Great product. I bought two, and am putting the other one over theoutside of a picture window that has drawn some bird strikes despitetwo strands of 1" wide flash tape.

Not Worth It!
This does not scare away, nor deter birds from anything! Don't waste your money
