We actually bought two, one for the front of our 16.5 foot bass boat. I couldn't be happier with this product for raising and lowering heavy anchors. We have 15 pound anchors on each and it works perfect. It was so hard to bring up the anchor with just the rope and I was always afraid I was going to fall out of the boat. With this, I can sit in my chair and just wind that sucker up and it snaps into place. Do not hesitate to buy this product, it's perfect.

These Anchormate II's are awesome, very well made in the USA and are the best option in my opinion to use if you plan to add some anchors to your boat. My Dad's 1986 Alumacraft had 2x of these that lasted almost 30 years, and I did a restore on the boat and replaced the 30 year old ones with brand new ones and couldnt be happier!

Work's ok can bend the bracket pretty easy tho. The rope comes off the roller sometimes.

18 pound anchor is too much for system. They show it can take 100+ feet of anchor rope, if it is 1/4" diameter which is too light to anchor anything.

Absolutely love this anchor roller/stowage assembly. It literally launches your anchor in to the water using a spring-loaded launch roller. Quick and easy install, super simple operation, also has a small safety chain to keep the anchor from falling out (not that it ever would) while driving down the road. Little tip: Keep all moving parts lightly greased to help from corrosion, especially the launch spring, and recovery crank assemblies.

If you run anchors this works great. Been running them on several boats for 30+ years. Every 10 years you may need to take the crank apart and regrease the spring but no big deal.

This item easily mounts on the front of the boat and makes it so much easier to deploy the anchor. My wife and I are both plus 70's and she usually set in the front of our little boat and had to pick up the anchor throw it overboard was not the best. Now she just flips the button and when we pull it in she just reels it up. So much easier. Great product easy install.

If you're looking to add a front or rear anchor to your tin boat, this is the best option on the market. Price was more than competitive in our market and it shipped fast and free. It beats the tar out of having to drop the anchor and tie it off, this thing just works. I've used up to a 12 lb. weight on it, but beware to not use large gauge rope with this one.
