Great quality, convenient and effecient!
The Amazon QA session provided enough hint for fitting. However, here goes again. I purchased a Sm/Med for my recovery workout and find it very snug fitting when first tried on. The construction is durable and well made. Material is thick. At that time, my waist was 28, widest on the bottom is 37 inch. After a few weeks of wearing this twice a day with gentle 30 min walking, the waist of the short is 2 inch too wide, and the leg opening is no longer touching my thigh. Currently My waist is 27, widest on the bottom is 36, widest thigh cir 19 inch. Simple math shows the short loosens up a bit with wear especially the waist area. I am 5 feet 9 with slightly longer inseam and this short comes to 3 inches above my knee.I had a series of shoulder and back injuries which spanned a few years and prevented physical workout and sometimes I couldn't even walk. Although my body has always been fit, even when not mobile, my lower body seemed swollen with water retention after years of inactivity. Even after I gradually restarted my gentle workout routine, the water retention problem did not go away. So I started wearing neoprene shorts in an attempt to address that. I did not expect drastic result from the neoprene short.I use the Everlast All-In-One Body Slimmer interchangeably with another brand, SlimHot capri. Here's what I really like about the Everlast All-In-One. This short is thicker than SlimHot and promotes better sweating. The All-In-One design means a built-in waist which really helps with my waist area during the first weeks of wearing it. I don't need any seperate belt or waist warp. Now the waist is too loose to help sweating but I'm hoping it will help prevent slipping down when my body is even better toned. The strength of Everlast All-In-One is also its shortcoming. It's thickness prevent mobility. So I have to remove this short before I start the after-walk stretching. I don't think I can wear this short for yoga or aerobic. After the first two weeks, my body seemed to have adjusted well to the short and no longer sweat. So I added two things. Now I spread a thin layer of Albolene cream, wrap simple kitchen saran wraps on top of the cream, then wear the neoprene short. This combination brought back the sweating.I think I've achieved my goal of using the Everlast Slimmer short. However, I still continue to wear it for walking because it raises my body temperature and my joints and lower back feel looser and better when walking wearing it. I give this short 5 star for slimming/toning, and 5 star as a maintenance workout short.

A few details and sizing tips.
I just received my item today. I've gotten a little out of shape due to back issues, and want to maximize my cardio workouts. I'm sure this product will aid in that.I really want to touch base on a few key points I saw mentioned in other reviews. As far as an over bearing rubber smell the item I have is really not bad at all. Yes, there is the rubber odor. I have a pretty sensitive sense of smell and this is just fine for me. I'm sure it will likely come out out all together after a few rinses in mild detergent. I'd rather it smell a little rubbery, and new, than musty like it had been stored forever or previously worn. Now, for sizing. I read every single review (around 128) and was still left questioning measurements so I will try to be as specific as possible in an effort to help others. The Everlast website also had no sizing guidelines.I am 5'2". Currently around 143 lbs. I gain weight proportionately - so pretty evenly over my entire body. I maintain an hourglass shape it just becomes less defined with weight gain. I also have more muscle than typical in someone of my stature due to my welding career and metal fabrication. I also want to stress that I take measurements with a cloth tape meant for measuring the body and clothing.Measurements in inches:Rib cage just below my breasts measures 34"Waist narrowest part 30.5"Widest area of hips 38.5"Buttocks widest point 40"Largest area of thighs both are at 23"Length of body from sternum to top center pelvis 13"I ordered the small/medium wondering if I made the right choice. (I worried it may be too small). The fit is surprisingly like clothing to be honest. I feel as though I'm wearing a form fitting garment. I had no trouble at all putting it on, pulling it up, or zipping it. It's not too tight, as a matter of fact I wish it was a bit tighter around the stomach and hips. I always worry about thigh fit, as I do have "thunder thighs". I was afraid the hem may cut into them. They fit perfect. Like a pair of stretch jeans when you first put them on. The hem is not digging into my legs at all.All in all I am extremely comfortable and happily surprised with the fit. I will be putting on a thin tank top or long sports bra before working out. While the top of the zipper isn't bothering me now, I'm sure it will probably become more pronounced with sweating and movement. I'm definitely happy with the product. I do hope that will help give a decent starting point in sizing for some.

Makes you sweat, but no slimming effect
I'm 20 and have put on 10 lbs since high school. I'm 5'8" and currently weigh approx. 143 lbs so I am not absolutely dying to get this weight off. I have tried on and off to get rid of this nagging "pooch" as it seems to linger in my stomach/thighs/butt. My main method of exercise is running- doing a Couch to 5k app that definitely makes me sweat. This body slimmer sounded like a gift from Heaven, I mean how could it not work? It's comfortable to wear and doesn't irritate me. However, when running and breathing gets heavier, I find that this body slimmer restricts my stomach (obviously) and makes it cramp up which also restricts my air flow. I can't run as long as I could without the slimmer due to the restricted supply of breath. It's actually kind of painful. I would recommend wearing this when doing low-key aerobics such as walking or a dance class. IT DOES MAKE YOU SWEAT! I take it off and literally have to wipe the sweat off. While it does make you sweat, I have not noticed any difference in the size of my butt/thigh/stomach area. I started using this every time I ran but have eventually quit using it altogether. I may give it another shot and use it religiously since I did pay $20 for it, but overall I am not pleased with the results nor would I buy this again.
