Buck quality
I really like this buck sprint knife, the blade deployment was great and the lockup was perfect. Blade was spot on, nice and centered. I really enjoy the weight not too light, I like a knife with some weight, to me it allows for easier handling. The blade was really sharp too. I hope buck continues using the 420 steel, to me the perfect knife steel, keeping the cost down and super easy to sharpen. I have over 200 knives all shapes and models but I enjoy the buck knives that are made in good old USA. Now the not so good part, the blade that I received had some scratches that suggest to me that someone else might had owned this knife before, don’t know for sure though but, I’m not going to send it back for such a small concern. After I have had it for a week they will be more scratches anyway. I’m looking at the pro now, maybe a purchase down the road.

True American craftsmanship
I recently purchased the compact size Buck Knives 840 Sprint Select and boy, am I impressed! This knife is a true testament to American craftsmanship and attention to detail. From the moment I held it in my hand, I could feel the quality and precision that went into making this knife. First and foremost, the blade on the 840 Sprint Select is razor-sharp. It slices through everything with ease, making it a joy to use for everyday tasks or even more rugged outdoor adventures. The high-quality steel used in the blade ensures excellent edge retention, so I don't have to constantly sharpen it. The handle of the knife is ergonomic and comfortable, providing a secure grip even in wet conditions. The textured G10 material adds a nice touch of style while also enhancing the overall durability of the knife. It feels solid and reliable, allowing me to confidently tackle any cutting task that comes my way. One of the standout features of this knife is the assisted opening mechanism. With just a flick of the thumb stud, the blade springs into action, ready for action. It's quick, smooth, and incredibly satisfying to use. Additionally, I appreciate that this knife is made in the USA. Supporting local businesses and knowing that the knife was made to the highest standards gives me peace of mind. In conclusion, the Buck Knives 840 Sprint Select is a fantastic purchase. Its superior craftsmanship, sharp blade, comfortable handle, and reliable assisted opening mechanism make it a top-tier choice for anyone in need of a reliable everyday carry knife. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, American-made knife.

USA Quality Knife
I have several Buck knives in my collection, but I've never used one for EDC (Every Day Carry). Lately, though, more and more knife companies have moved their manufacturing to China, and have suffered consistency in their products. I've given up buying from several companies, because what I've received from them was substandard. Not Buck, though. They still build in the USA, and the quality is still there. I purchased this 840 Sprint on a whim and I'm glad I did. First off, it's razor-sharp, right out of the box. Secondly, the ball bearing operation is amazing. The flipper stud protrudes just far enough that it doesn't interfere with carrying, but makes for a quick opening. I can one-handed open this knife faster than some of my assisted-opening knives. On top of that, it's slim and light. I usually take the clips off of my EDC knives because they usually don't sit in my jean's pocket comfortably. The clip on the 840 isn't attached to the back, it's attached to the top of the spacer, at an angle. A simple design change, but man, is it effective. It allows the knife to sit right in the top and side of my pocket without interfering or digging into my leg when I'm squatting or sitting down. And you can deploy this knife from any position, even sitting down. A lot of knife clips don't allow you to do that. With it's design, slim profile, and light weight, it's become my EDC. I've purchased one for my grandson-in-law and bought 3 more for myself. Why? Because I work my EDC knife real hard. I'll usually wear out an EDC in 7 to 10 years. When I find one that's perfect for me and is really, really comfortable, then, like a perfect pair of shoes, I buy several, before they change the design or quit making them.

Pretty nice, minor issues
Like the low rise pocket clip- but the thing is cranked on so tight with such a small bit I can't remove it or adjust it to the other side where I want it... already stripped the screws... The shape of the clip would be great for a front pocket carry if I was left handed. Means the knife sits a little weird in the corner of my back right pocket. The knife itself, came sharp and seems to be holding an edge so far with daily use as a screwdriver, knife, hammer, pry bar, etc. Easy to open one handed and blade locks tight, no wiggles. Haven't had to sharpen it yet, which tells me even the factory edge is pretty decent.

True one-handed operation
The most important feature to me in a pocket knife is the ability to both open and close it safely with one hand. This Buck knife works perfectly in that regard. Plus I’ve always liked the quality of Buck knives.

Perhaps favorite knife ever?
Beautiful knife. Funny how like my blue iPhone 15 Pro Max and to a lesser degree my blue Movado watch it’s like a darker blue, but I like the color quite a lot overall. I wouldn’t want it to be too bright or flashy. As many others have said it’s a Buck, speaks for itself. I have bought quite a few Bucks throughout my life and can’t see myself ever phasing out of them. They’re timeless. Love how the clip is on the other side as opposed to many other knives. This was new to me but it grew on me. I rarely ever lose anything and maybe it’s under my car seat but I believe it was stolen from me cause I can’t find it. Either way I’ll likely buy another one!! I like it that much. Not too big, not too small. Amazing blade, very sharp (factory sharp enough to cut hairs), very sturdy and the blade looks sort of rough on the sides but it’s still a beautiful shiny silver and I believe it looks how it was meant to. An odd + to the blade looking rough is I don’t have to worry about random scratches messing with my OCD 😂😁 Oh, also - Made in USA 🇺🇸
