can i fix the pole so the long part fits the bracket

Hi, Yes, the bracket can be fitted to either end of the pole, it just so happened to be on that end when the image was taken.

What bolt size can i use for the fixture? tia

I needed to increase the offset to clear roof tile protrusion by fixing a 50mm thick piece of wood on the wall using wood-screws and fixing the bracket to the wood.
