Wonderful filter
I'm very glad I picked up this IR/UV cut filter. While I have yet to use it with my converted webcam against the night sky, I used it during a daylight test against some foliage off in the distance. While the leaves are normally washed out to almost gray color when the webcam is used in one of my telescopes, the addition of the IR/UV allowed the greenery to should up as the vibrant green we see with our eyes. Hopefully soon I'll be able to take it out on a clear night. I did notice it look a bit of force to get the filter to twist when I was attaching it to my webcam adapter, being careful not to cross the threads. It cleared up after a few removals, so I'm going to say it's not the filter's fault but the adapter having too thick of a coating over the threads. All in all, I feel this is a wonderful filter for the price and I'm incredibly happy with my purchase.

Works great!
This filter is great for its price, it helps with a lot of environmental factors like distortion caused by the telescope and helps with dew on your lens, but it adds a weird round lens distortion depending on the angle, the first image is with the filter and the second is without.

Lens housing was empty -- no filter
There was no filter in the lens housing, just air.

Excellent Performance for Price
Worked great, just as good as a similar filter from Edmund Optic. However, not compatible with 31.5mm cameras, unfortunately.

Rough threads.
Blocks uv and ir as advertised but the threads don't screw smoothly into other filters or the nose piece.

Specs Are Not True
The bullet points are plagiarized word for word from Baader Planetarium. When I received this filter it was obvious that it does not have anti-reflection coatings, I can see strong reflections from the surface. I tested this filter by using the beam from a laser level. With a Baader Planetarium filter the light transmission measured 98%. With the Solomark filter the transmission was closer to 92%. This is clearly deceptive advertising.

Good filter, excellent price
Good price for this type of filter, I use it with an Orion StartShoot G3 Mono camera to reduce star bloat and to help protect the front of the camera with the CCD chip. Build quality is good, no problems with the threads attaching to other equipment. I've purchased several Solomark filters and have not been disappointed.
