Fantastic Value - Easily Overclocks to 4.1 GHz
Overclocks to 4.1 GHz at stock voltage. Very fast. This is my first time to purchase a MSI motherboard and the cheapest one I've ever purchased, too. It worked the first time after turning on the power which is a wonderful feeling.I am able to overclock this motherboard to 4.1 GHZ using MSI's automatic overclock button. It works great. It even outperforms my other much more AMD system that is twice the cost. These are the system components I bought here on Amazon. I upgraded a HP desktop computer and all that I kept was the case and two DVD drives. I kept 4 GB of RAM from my Gigabyte system. I would suggest the RAM below if you need to buy RAM. I've run 12 GB of RAM in my older Gigabyte system and I never saw it even approach using 4 GB. So I say 4 GB of RAM is more than enough for a system like this. My Asus system has 8 GB and it is using 29% of the RAM or about 2.3 GB.Even though I'm using Windows Pro 8.1, I really don't like Windows 8 at all except for the Netflix app. This is a dedicated computer for my home theater system. I bought Star8 from Stardock on the internet for only $5 and it is worth every penny to make Windows 8 look like Windows 7. And you can easily click to switch back and forth between the two.Advanced Micro Devices AD750KWOHJBOX 100W Quad Core Graphics Processor 4.0 4Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX430)MSI Socket FM2/AMD A75/DDR3/SATA3&USB3.0/A&GbE/MicroATX Motherboard FM2-A75MA-E35XFX AMD Radeon HD 6770 Graphics Card (HD677XZNFC)Windows 8.1 Pro System Builder OEM DVD 64-BitCorsair Vengeance Blue 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9B)

Possibly the best Quad-Core processor for under $100. A definite buy for budget builds.
I don't usually write reviews here on Amazon. In fact, this is my first one. I'm not going to lie, this processor gave me one hell of a headache. After realizing it was only running on two of its cores, I activated the other two and am now running on all four cores clocked at 4.0Ghz.Not to regurgitate what others on here (and other sites) are saying, but this processor does, indeed, get quite hot. I upgraded to the 750K from an A6-5400K APU and ended up using the same heat sink as the A6 with the 750K because they are both basically the same and I didn't feel like swapping them for no reason. As far as the performance goes, this thing is an absolute beast. I am currently running this set-up:AMD Athlon 750K Overclocked @ 4.0GhzNvidia GTX 760 2GB8GB Super Talent 1600Mhz Memory1TB 7200 RPM HDDThis CPU is, in no way, a bottleneck to this GPU. If you're looking for a CPU that won't break the bank, this is definitely it. If you're worried about upgrading in the future, consider investing in an FM2/FM2+ motherboard such as the Gigabyte F2A88XN-Wifi. It is both an FM2 and FM2+ motherboard which will essentially allow you to upgrade to AMD's upcoming Kaveri APU's (in January 2014). Hope this review convinces you.REMEMBER: Make sure you are running on all four cores before you give up on this CPU like I almost did. This is indeed a Quad-core CPU with 4 cores and 4 threads.

It's solid all around. ( but need's a cpu cooler so +$30, might as well invest in a new model with a better stock cooler )
You really can't go wrong with this CPU. I haven't really tested it at full lengths yet but it will run Diablo 3, and Warframe close to maxed out.I threw your normal programs at it( browser, skype, games, steam ) and had no issues cycling through them.Great CPU that won't break the bank.Con-The stock CPU cooler is terrible as people listed above. Temperatures run idle around 50c and hit over 60-65 in games. YOU WILL have to invest in a new cooler. That asks the question, should you just buy a more expensive CPU hoping their stock fan is stronger? Given this cpu requires extra cash in cooling.

Broke
When I got this processor I opened the box and checked the pins first in case. Then I noticed two pins were bent. I tried to bend them back in place back still wouldn't fit the socket and im sure i have the right socket.

It's an OK CPU, but not really a competitive value
Note that you're not getting any onboard graphics with this CPU. That was a given when I bought it, and I knew it up front, but there seems to be some confusion. For just a few bucks more, you could have a Core i3 setup and it'll run cooler, quieter, use less power, and be equally fast, if not faster. I have bought AMD stuff since the K6-2 days, but around the time Sandy Bridge came out in 2011 I switched to Intel and I just can't recommend AMD right now.I bought this for a system for my mother in law who wanted to be absolutely as cheap as possible. I had a spare AMD 5750 video card, so I went with the cheapest quad-thread CPU I could find and one of the nicer A85 boards. It's solid, and she's very happy with it. I just can't really recommend it for anything other than bottom-of-the-barrel ultra-cheap desktops.

Great CPU, crappy stock cooler (though all stock coolers are crappy anyways)
Good price and performance. I have this CPU in an ITX build with an 7770 and I have no complaints about performance. The stock cooler is pretty terrible though. I will freely admit that I am a bit anal when it comes to noise and my computer and the fan is always noticeable. I'm sure for most people they will hardly recognize it over a room's ambient noise but I have gotten used to my PCs being extremely quite if not silent so I place high importance on sound. I upgraded from a Athlon X2 370k and I honestly cannot tell the difference in performance. Granted I only use my PC for light gaming coupled with a lot of video streaming and web surfing so I am not putting a lot of stress of the CPU. At the end of the day this CPU does exactly what I need it do at very respectable speeds.
