Good Watch
Bought this watch because I wanted to check the time at work without getting my phone out and because I like the mechanical aspect of the watch. The automatic charging works fine for me since my job requires lots of movement. I can see and read the time clearly. The big numbers for the hours and the little ones for the minutes makes it very easy for me to tell the time. It keeps time great! Maybe off by a 1/4 of a minute but never less or more. The calendar has not worked so far. It requires me to manually change the date. (which I kind of like) I changed the band as soon as I got it. The one it came with fit fine and looks good but I was going for a WW2 watch and this one looked the closest for the price, just bought an another band for it and it looks like what I was going for. A good watch overall I haven’t scratched it yet but I imagine it’s only a matter of time with my job. I would recommend. Edit: The calendar DOES work, the watch would just run out of “power” during the night and not change the date. Just wind it up before you go to sleep and it’ll be fine.

Incredible value for the money, although there are some things to gripe about.
So for only owning it for a few hours, this is my review. Pros- · Very nice finishing · Nice domed crystal · Rotor spins great · Date feature works good · Tells the time Cons- · Nasty smudge on the rotor · Absolutely terrible band · Questionable material for the case · SLIGHTLY out of time according to my Timegraher. Now for a breakdown. The finishing (polishing) is great. No ripples or anything, everything is as it should be. The crystal is a very nice domed crystal that I really love. Some people complained about the rotor spinning bad, and when fully wound it does but whenever it needs winding it spins great. The date feature was complained about some too, people said that it wasn't returning straight like it should. Mine works great. I also really love the dial, it's a nice military/IWC style that is very nicely finished. Even the 'Winner' and the hazmat sign with wings are finished nice. Now to complain: There was a nasty smudge that got on the rotor, no idea what it was, I don't want to know, but it required a little alcohol to remove. I HATE the band, it's a terrible material that pushes against the side of your wrist. A NATO/ZULU strap is highly recommended. And I believe the case is stainless, but there's one spot on it that makes me wonder. Very very small indicator that it is plated, but it's so small that you can't tell unless you use a microscope. I believe it is though, judging by the weight. Regardless, it's nicely finished. For $29.66, I can't complain. It had a very tiny amount of beat error, but other than that it's functioning as it should. I have yet to test the water resistance, but it does have a gasket on the case back. All in all, I love this watch. It's exactly what I expected, if not more. This will be a watch I wear alot, intending to get beat up. If anything changes, from now (May 1st, 2023) I will update this post. All in all, for $29.66, this watch is worth it. A mechanical watch is a beautiful watch, regardless of the price. This is great for a beginner to working on watches or horology in general, I highly suggest it!

Not worth the low price - don't keep accurate time
Got this watch in the mail last week. I opened the box and the watch looked great, no damage in shipping. Later on while putting the watch on my wrist, the pin in the catch slipped out. It took me several hours to find and replace the pin so I could wear the watch. I then set the date and set the correct time put the watch on my wrist at 1:20pm, I looked at the time around 7pm and the watch was already 1 hr 53 minutes too slow. I set the watch the next day and it lost time again about 2 hrs again. This watch is no good, don't waste your time and money. I thought it looked good and being a self wind this was just what I wanted, but if it doesn't do what a watch is supposed to do, keep time, it's no good!

Exceeds expectations.
For the price, this watch is great. Wasn't expecting much, but it exceeded expectations. Wanted a cheap watch for work that I don't have to worry about messing up. This is it and more. Solid watch, I like the curved crystal, and it looks great on my wrist. Keeps time just as good as my automatic Bulova. The strap is sturdy and looks fine with the watch. If you want a low priced, good automatic watch, you won't be disappointed with this one.

Morbid curiosity
This is almost a great cheap automatic watch option. I got it because I was curious what a $20 automatic watch would be like. Its not great LOL. Then I had to wonder asside from novelty why would anyone insist on a mechanical for $20 when at that price there's so many great quartz options that actually keep great time...better than most expensive mechanical and auto watches even. This watch is basically a novelty, not a reliable time piece. Luckily it can be hand wound as well as auto winding because the power reserve on this watch is awful. I've had it stop or slow down on my multiple times while wearing it. I no longer wear it to work or anywhere I need my watch to not fail me. Other issues, it has no lume and no hacking on the seconds hand. Pros. It looks nice, I love the domed crystal, and it has a display caseback. A display caseback on a $20 watch? That's just crazy but here it is. If the power reserve on this watch was a little reliable this would be a decent watch at any price and a ludicrously great deal at 20 bucks. But as is its just meh, in fact I probably have it higher ratings than it deserves simply because at this price its better than you would expect, but if you need a watch that will not make you late. You can get a quartz alternative that looks just as good and keeps better time.

Great First Mechanical Watch
I wanted a cheap mechanical watch that also had hand winding. I got this for $18 6 months ago, and it was what I wanted. It gains 2 minutes a day, so it's still usable for me and given the price I'm actually impressed. The watch is very easy to read. I like the military-inspired look. The black plastic fake crocodile skin leather strap it came on was really shiny, stiff, and ugly. I took it off and wear this on a 22mm blue NATO strap that matches the hands. The NATO was a bit of a snug fit. The watch is a little hard to wind as the crown and automatic rotor are a bit stiff, but I've never had it die while I was wearing it. Watch usually dies about 18 hours after I take it off. When I set the watch, I have to be careful pushing the crown back to to keep the minute hand from moving.

Nice price for a basic automatic watch, but lots of cons
Nice price for a basic automatic watch. Zero lume and don't think of getting it wet, but for the price it keeps time well. Edit: New Information added: If you want a starter automatic or mechanical watch look for an Amphibia, a pro diver Invicta, a Seiko 5, a Tissot 1853, or any brand that advertises a Seiko NH35A, a Miyota 821XX, or a SeaGull movement. - glass crystal is so thick it makes viewing the watch face difficult - very little reserve power; needs a lot of winding and moving to keep up with other autos - crown/stem are extremely difficult to work with. To set time and date you have to pull incredibly hard and you begin to wonder if the stem is about to break off. - not even water resistant. Splash a bit of water on it while rinsing out a coffee mug and you will find water vapor or even droplets of water making it into the case. - the ultrashiny winged logo seems to have been slapped on and is slightly askew. -an homage to the IWV Mark XVII ($3.5k or so); for a good $10-20 more the maker could have rustled up a scre-down crown and gaskets to make the watch truly water resistant.

Reasonable value for not a lot of money.
This watch surprised me. I was not expecting much from a self winding mechanical watch at this price point. I bought it on a whim to see what is out there today, figuring it would not run well and I would have a watch to take apart. But surprisingly, it keeps reasonably good time for a cheep mechanical device, and the only complaint I really have is that silly date window that is just too long making it hard to pick out the middle day number (old eyes do not see as well as they used to). There is no reason on God's green earth to show 2 days before and 2 days after today in that window. The fake leather band should last a few weeks until you replace it, and all the markings in the dial are clear and sharp and well done. I just wish the numbers 2 and 4 were there where the hole is for extra days to peek through. It does run at about +2 minutes per day - I have not opened it up to adjust that yet, but you can see where to do it through the glass back so I will probably give that a go. If you are a train conductor or astronaut, you should probably look for a different device but for most if us this seems to be a good inexpensive timekeeper and a fun experiment for me.
