LEGO Creator 31013 Red Thunder

This is an excellent set for under $5. Each model can be built in just a few minutes. The chopper and the prop plane are both excellent models and have very clever designs. The speed boat didn't quite do it for me, but after building the models given in the instructions, half the fun is trying to build your own from scratch. Creator sets are great for this, I think these encourage builders to come up with their own designs more than most other LEGO sets. Overall, this is a wonderful set for beginners or for veteran collectors like myself. You can't lose with LEGO.

Though I cringe at all the little pieces, this kept my 4 y.o. son's attention for nearly an hour on the airplane as we worked together to build different shapes, carefully following the instructions. Now back from our trip he has continued to assemble and reassemble the parts for several days. A great value for a take along toy to throw in when going out of town, or of course fun for playing at home, too! He does need my help taking some of the pieces apart, but is patient with this and seems to really love the many configurations. Fun!

Fun helicopter- was purchased for our 5 year old son. He wasn't patient enough to build it, but he watched intently as I did and enjoyed it to pieces (literally) when I finished. Our 6.5 year old daughter was very interested in participating and almost had the focus to follow the directions exactly...needed only minimal help.Directions are helpful pictures showing exactly which pieces go where. Might be too much for a child under 7 years old unless he/she has played with a lot of Legos.

This lego set is quite tiny but my son loves it anyway. We have built all of the featured vehicles and now it is all mixed in with the rest of his lego sets. I actually got it for the rotator part which we did not have in the generic box of legos I purchased before. That part alone was worth purchasing the set. My son loves to build "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and how can you have a flying car without the propellers?

My kids love the Lego line of block toys and this is no exception. This LEGO Creator Red Thunder is a good small addition for kids who like to play with helicopters and airplanes. The fit and finish is classic Lego...very good to excellent.Overall, a very good block toy addition but tiny...just so you know. For size comparison, I am including a picture of a golf ball next to the Lego Red Thunder for your reference. Thanks for reading my review.

The main gripe here is that for the $21.45 I paid for this I was expecting a bigger model. I have bought these size legos before for $5-$6 ea as stocking stuffers w/o disappointment. I will pay more attention next time but hard not to feel screwed by the seller.

My five year old grandson received a birthday invitation from a classmate. I didn't know the family well enough to feel comfortable asking what their child would enjoy. My grandson loves LEGOS so I took a calculated risk and ordered this for his classmate's gift. Once again I had waited until the last minute but with Amazon Prime I received this set in time for the party. At the party the mother told me her son loves LEGOS - especially the boxed sets. I have since ordered my grandson several of these boxed sets. My grandson loves to mix and match to create his own creations. I highly recommend this set as well as the other LEGO sets. You won't get mostly teeny little pieces some of the larger sets contain. These are a great buy!

I wish Lego would make these same toys with bigger parts so the little hands of kids will have an easier time. Also, it would be easier to find them should they roll under the couch or something. Consequently, it is sitting in the showcase waiting for the junior to be big enough. Otherwise , I am happy with the purchase.

Como todo lo que hace lego, excepcional, un buen juguete y de buena calidad, mi sobrino de 5 años lo monta sin problemas. y lo mas importante las horas de diversion y entretenimiento.El paquete parece mas grande de lo que es, pero aun asi, lo importante es el resultado ante los niños.

Die Qualität ist gut, es ist halt LEGO, da weiss man was man hat. Ich selber bevorzuge die Produkte der Reihe Creator, weil sie dafür sorgen, dass man immer wieder neu die Bausätze zusammenbauen möchte. Ansonsten wird einmal gebaut und dann wird gespielt oder das Fahrzeug steht im Regal. Aus meiner elterlichen Sicht ist aber gerade das Zusammenbauen, die kreative Arbeit und die Förderung der Koordination, des Vorstellungsvermögens und der Feinmotorik, über die ich mich freue. Den gesamten Bauprozess macht mein Sohn (6) mit Creator immer wieder neu durch, da er ja mehrere Fahrzeuge bauen kann.
