Nice quality tool
I purchased this combustion leak detector to see if my truck had a bad head gasket. The tool itself is good quality, I think it is worth having. The blue liquid did not turn yellow for the head gasket test but when I put it near the exhaust it did turn yellow.

Is it a bad gasket or not.
An easy way to find out if exhaust gas is getting into you coolant from a blown head gasket, you also need the test fluid. Tested mine turned out fine, then went to the tail pipe drew three pulls of air and the fluid went from blue to yellow. So it works like a charm, for what it was intended. Also came fast.

Easy Testing Tool
-This testing tool is well protected in a fine case.-Simple step by step instructions makes it very easy to use.-The clever rubber cone would fit most radiator openings and the aspirator bulb is conveniently included to make the whole operation quick and simple.I was hesitant to buy this product, since I could not be sure from the description if the aspirator bulb was included and the fact that testing fluid had to be purchased separately, but its reasonable price and the protective case won me over. I'm glad I did and recommend it with a 5 stars.A suggestion to manufacturer: To make this product an absolute must have kit, the manufacturer should include a small one test fluid bottle which could fit in the carry on case.

it works!!! mine i had to fix sorta
it works! only reason I'm giving it 4/5 is because when it got it, it didn't work... no instructions and after a some google searching finally found an answer. some of these units i guess you have to poke up in the nozzle end to release the valve. i used a tooth pick and gently!! poked up into the small hole until i felt something move and then it worked great. someone on a form said to do it gently, so if yours doesn't let it suck air try and poke a tooth pick up the reservoir hole gently. apparently if you do it to hard you damage it.

You really want to have this around.
I started to have some temperature issues with my X5, fortunately it was just the thermostat, but at the same time the coolant level sensor failed (intermittently) so I had weir symptoms , I got this to test for emission gasses, once, I was sure the head gasket was not an issue, did the rest of the troubleshooting.I think this is worth having around, and hopefully, never get a positive test.

Saved me thousands
Mechanic told me I had a head gasket leak. Said he used some gas vapor sensor in the radiator, and even saw bubbles. I bought the Blue Devil and was ready to pour it in and stop the leak. I then found this tool, bought it, and tested 3 different times. No combustible gasses in the cooling system. 02 Town & Country with a leak that was very intermittent, and tough to find. Leak got worse over time, and I fixed it. This tool saved me thousands. Now I have it on the shelf for other times as well. One more thing: I saved like $15 on Amazon by buying this tool and the test fluid separately. Buyer beware.

Good tool
Good tool to have for when you think you might have a head gasket bad. It saved me from spending lots of money and time replacing something I thought was wrong but really wasn’t.

Read all the reviews, tested it on an Astro ...
Read all the reviews, tested it on an Astro and WRX will cooling issues, Inconclusive with both..kind of what I expected. If you are pushing coolant from a cold motor with revs, it has an issue just tear it apart.
