Electronic Magnifying Device, Has 3 Levels of Magnification
Surprisingly good magnifying device for well under $20. I would not call it a microscope, but it does magnify with three power levels. It works best when in contact with the surface of the item to be viewed. Easy to use with a clear display and buttons for power, zoom level, photo taking, and switching between captured images. Charged via USB C port. Includes USB A to USB C charging cable and instructions. Has a magnifying lens on the bottom. Can accept a micro SD card for image storage.

You got to put it on top of the thing for it to be clear. Otherwise it’s great!
It’s really a good product you just got to know how to use it. I was using it like a normal magnifying glass and the image was very blurry. However, when I started to really put it close and I mean you really gotta put it on top of the thing, it’s quite remarkable. I’m very grateful for it because my nephew decided it would be a great idea to grab a cactus and got stung and it hoped us see clearly where the thorns were. It has a great gift value and very much worth the money. So far it’s got a great battery life. Only charged it once and it’s still good, mind you I don’t use it very often but I haven’t had to charge it with every use. Haven’t tried out the connectivity but not holding out too much hope because I own a MacBook and I haven’t found any software compatible with it but who knows? Overall good buy and very useful.

Scope works well. Stand? Not so much
I bought this because I work with small parts from my customers, and my eyesight ain't what it used to be. -PROS- - The scope works great. I can see miniscule details clearly - The set up is super easy. It's plug and play. - The software downloaded from the website is easy to use. -CONS- - The stand is absolute garbage. It's cheaply built and not sturdy at all. - Focusing can be a problem due to the stand being cheap. Summary - if you need a cheap and decent microscope to see small things, this will be good enough. I would just order a separate static stand.

Absolute Garbage, now that MaxSee doesn't work
Garbage - Totally agree with other "1 star" reviewers. This scope WAS good for WiFi while MaxSee was working. Now, it is a paperweight. I have tried all other apps (Android), and nothing, including the one recommended by Takmly, will work more than 2 seconds before freezing and disconnecting. Too bad, it was good while it lasted. Now it goes into the trash, and I am looking for one of the competitors (that will work). Let me clarify something - At best, it as, in my opinion, a "toy". The adjustment dials are WAY too sensitive, and you really have to have this mounted on something for it to be usable. For coins, on a stable base, where you can eventually set the focus on a specific point and swap coins (not moving the camera), it works well. Move the object, not the camera. More 'clarification' - to give you some idea of the sensitivity of the adjustment dials - on a 'regular' microscope, you could turn a dial maybe 3-5 full times to adjust the same that this does in maybe 1/2 turn. There is no fine tuning unless you are really lucky. For anything else (like looking at trichomes on a growing plant), it is close to useless. You have to be REALLY lucky to hold the camera still, at the right distance, at the right spot, for more than a second to have a chance to snap a photo. Again, a tripod mount would help here, but it was more of a challenge to use than it was worth. To be completely fair - IF you are hooking this up WIRED to a COMPUTER (NOT a phone, NOT using Wifi), and you are using the base (NOT handheld), and you are looking at something like coins, paper money, or fabric that you can slide into the focal area, you should be ok. Wireless, however, go find something else. Update 8/12/24 - after re-reading the review above, I do stand by what I said. I purchased this device when it DID work - when MaxSee worked. I used it for coins, stamps, and observing trichomes. While WILDLY sensitive and almost impossible to use if holding in your hand (I purchased a microphone stand to mount it on so it would be stable for looking at plants), it will work if mounted on a stand, AND connected by a wire to your computer. The wireless connectivity (the only reason I purchased this particular microscope) disappeared when MaxSee stopped working. You would think the company (Takmly) would develop and support their own software for this device, instead of relying on someone else.

Excellent product for inspecting microscopic pests!
Great gadget and value! Yes, you do have to put the device flat onto a specimen or fairly flat, but this gives the user a very clear image. Also, the LED lights help with making the images clear. I can see how this handheld microscope could be great for children and science projects. Even exploring microscopic items, plants, bugs, etc. Fascinating for kids who enjoy up close exploring and users can’t beat the price for the quality. Plug it in to charge so no batteries to buy. I haven’t yet tried uploading photos it claims to take, so I can’t speak on that.

Great little device with excellent picture of small items. I use it for electronics and it magnifies perfectly. Take pictures too, to share with customers. Kids use it to study small insects and plant flowers, with great magnification and view from a distance. Since its rechargeable with a standard USB type C, the product can be used without worrying about battery replacement. I use 8x and 6x magnification depending on the need. The built in light works great to illuminate the object and no shadows observed.

This is one of the best microscopes I've found for checking trichome developement on cannabis plants ! One thing that may not be obvious are two buttons on the bottom of the unit that increase or decrease magnification....very helpful. It's great to be able to capture pictures or videos on a phone or tablet while examining the trichomes, although I wish the button were placed closer to the front of the unit. It's hard to keep the image focused while fumbling for the button. Apart from that, though, it works really well and I highly recommend it to any grower.
