I always enjoy a great Colleen Hoover read, and Regretting You was no exception. It broke my heart and then pieced it back together again. Phenomenal. The movie adaption was beautifully made as well, capturing the emotional depth of the story in a way that felt true to the book. Regretting You is a reminder that love isn’t about the absence of temptation, but about the choice to protect what matters most. “Attraction isn’t something that only happens once, with one person. It’s part of what drives humans. Our attraction to each other, to art, to food, to entertainment. Attraction is fun. So when you decide to commit to someone, you aren’t saying, ‘I promise I’ll never be attracted to anyone else.’ You’re saying, ‘I promise to commit to you, despite my potential future attraction to other people.’” I look at Clara. “Relationships are hard for that very reason. Your body and your heart don’t stop finding the beauty and the attraction in other people simply because you’ve made a commitment to one person. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you’re drawn to someone else, it’s up to you to remove yourself from that situation before it becomes too hard to fight.”

This is a contemporary romance. Dual POV. Seeing the story unfold from both Morgan and Clara’s perspectives adds emotional depth. You feel the misunderstandings, the pain, and the love from both sides. Really enjoyed the read!!

You either love this book or hate it. I felt like the story could get a bit boring at times and the problems could’ve been avoided. The reason I gave this book a three stars is because of the ending. The ending is so cute and left me smiling. Honestly, the book is worth reading just for the ending.

I’ll try to write it without spoilers. I loved the book and devoured it. In less than 24 hrs it was done, which means it really grabbed my attention and interest. The call for me was the mother daughter relationship since I always had a kind of complicated relationship with my mother and being myself a mother to fast approaching pre teens the theme really appealed to me. The first chapters are really well Constructed and developed, surprising you in the right moment. And when the freak accident happens and all hell breaks loose after at least 2 of 4 chapters I feel like the communication could have solved a lot of drama had it occurred sooner. I feel like it stretches for too long and therefore 4 stars instead of five. But when finally communication occurs it is beautiful, and such a satisfying book! It’s worth reading.

This book was my first Colleen Hoover read, and it was a good book. It wasn't a great book...just a good book (3.5 to 4 stars). I read it in 1 day because I wanted to watch the movie, and it kept me interested. I had to get used to jumping back-and-forth between the mother and the daughter but once I got used to it, the book became easier to digest. The character development was decent the storyline came together pretty well. I experienced a wave of emotions during the read. She does a great job getting her readers to "feel" while reading...even got a little teary, at times. Recommendation: If you're looking for a good read, dive in. I love a "book-to-movie" adaptation, so I'll be reading some of her other titles.

The characters are very relatable and easy to fall in love with. This story pulls at all your emotions, from heartbreak, to new loves, to mother-daughter connections.
