Ergodyne GloWear 8140HG Class 1 High Visibility Sash, 3X-Large+, Orange/Lime

I love to ride pedal bicycles on roads with all the hazards, dangers, and risks of vehicle traffic, and especially rude and distracted drivers. I also enjoy riding in the wintertime in cold weather. I don't mind riding in temperature that drop below freezing, but that means I must wear very high quality bicycle clothing, including a very expensive Gore-Tex bike jacket. I found an outstanding bike jacket on sale, but it was black. One must be seen while riding a bike with-traffic. I have looked and tried all kinds of vests, but they don't fit over a bike jacket easily. They restrict movement, bind, don't breathe, trap sweat, and are difficult to get on over a jacket. I got this to be seen, and I certainly am. I can hear drivers take their foot off the accelerator as soon as they see me from a good distance behind. This vest is exceptionally bright, and I have far less problems with difficult and aggressive drivers while wearing it. It's strong, very well-made, easy to get on and off, is very adjustable, but lightweight enough to not add too much weight for bicycle riding. I feel much more safe with it on, and I sometimes find myself riding along the berm of heavily traveled roads with a lot of traffic passing me. It's often not the driver of the first vehicle that doesn't see a bicyclist, it's the driver or drivers following in a line who may not be able to see around the vehicle or vehicles in front. No doubt about it, no one would miss seeing me in this. For me, it's a required piece of clothing for winter bicycle riding on roads with traffic. It may not have been designed for bicycling, but this is the perfect sash for my purposes. I would highly recommend it to any bicyclists or others who must deal with traffic on the roads.

The GloWear vests are lightweight and are adjustable to fit over coats (or not). Also, they will fold up and easily fit into a backpack or purse. My family walks in the early morning and this time of year it is dark - my children have to walk over a mile to the bus stop and so this keeps them visible to early morning drivers who are in a hurry or sipping their coffee and not paying attention. At first the kids thought it was "not cool" to wear them, but their friends all thought they were "neat" so now that is not a problem. I highly recommend this product - we even have one in each car in case we ever break down and have to walk or stand at the side of the road in the dark.

This sash is fairly well built & is highly visible & reflective. Well worth the safety of being seen on the roadways during the dark hours working, walking or running. Convenient because the waist band & orange chest strap is adjustable for a comfortable fit, especially if you will also use outerwear under it. The single pouch on the front left side is convenient & can hold a cell phone etc. Highly recommended.

Product as described with all materials being of good quality. It does run big. I am normally a medium shirt size, 5'11, 175lb. I got the M/L and it was huge on me. I had to alter it so that would stay on properly.

Excellent alternative to a safety vest for adults--this will fit over jackets and is adjustable at the waist/hip area. Well made. My son wears is when walking his dog at night, and his dog has his own safety/hunting vest as well.

Makes you look like you are in the "Village People" But I work in a very hot environment and it helps keep the temp down. Rather than wearing another full layer.

Lots of adjustments in the sash and fits great Pen pocket is a good touch. Would recommend to anyone.

As a reflective apparatus, this is a good product, but don't expect it to fit you properly, especially if you are tall and slim.
