This great little item is perfect for connect outdoors wiring. It's tough durable material that's weatherproof and protective of the wiring inside. No worries re wires shorting because the internal connections are so easy to access and wire in to. The pricing for this item is very reasonable. Perfect for all those projects outdoors where the wires dont quite run long enough and need to be extended!

I used one of these to connect a new LED floodlight in place of an old halogen unit. The LED light did not come with an IP rated terminal box so I had to purchase something to use instead. I looked at IP rated boxes and various other devices, but settled on this as it looked like a neat solution. This particular model has the good old fashioned grub screw terminals inside instead of the newer spring connectors that I'm not entirely convinced by. In terms of cable sealing there is a good amount of flexibility in the gland to tighten over various sizes (within reason). I was connecting to a 'twin and earth' flat cable on one side and it sealed well enough although i used a small amount of additional silicon sealant on the tip for 'belt and braces'. Overall the job was quick and easy and looked very neat. In terms of IP rating I can't comment on longevity but on first install I would recommend this product.

Brought these to repair a cable on a lawn mower for an elderly lady who is a neighbour. Seem well built, easy to install. The one thing that was a slight surprise was the actual size, whilst I did view specs, they actually where chunkier than I expected, not a draw back in my opinion, or for what I needed them for, just worth noting incase for any reason it would be an issue for your use. I can’t personally speak to the waterproof nature of it, however the lady in question is a friend and has had no call to mention any issues. All in all, happy with the purchase, did the job.

Cut through my electric lawn mower cable and done a repair with this connection and still going strong

I cut through the cable on my hedge trimmer and wanted to try this before buying a new one. Screws are a bit fiddly due to the size, but it works perfectly and was in place within 5 minutes - the trimmer now works without me having to buy a new one.

Bought it to repair some second/third hand gardening equipment and they work perfectly. Easy to fit, nice and tight fit.
