Mermaids of Earth

I have been obsessed with mermaids since I was seven years old and saw the movie, "Splash." This is a beautiful book with lovely photos, poems, and history of each mermaid statue. I am very happy to have found this. One question - I didn't see Africa represented. This country also has stories about Mami Wata, a mermaid deity. If you ever do a second edition, please include Mami Wata. Thank you!

Beautiful coffee table book and a must for those who love mermaids!

Love this beautiful book, I always love the mystical of mermaids and this book is all about them and their stories. Very well done, I enjoy looking at this book, it's on my coffee table and it's a perfect conversation starter. I strongly recommend it, it's everything you'll want to know about the beautiful intriguing mermaids of all times.

This book besides having beautiful photos of Mermaid statues from all over the world, gives you very interesting insight and historical information about each statue shown. It is well written, and organized, and you will come away with knowledge about the wonderful artists that did the sculptures as well as the countries where these amazing statues and sculptures exist.

It is a wonderful book. I got it for my 5 year old daughter because she loves mermaids. Even though she is only starting to read she really enjoys it since it has so many wonderful pictures! It is also a great educational tool since we can locate the different countries the mermaids are from. And of course, read all the different stories about the mermaids.

Beautiful and well crafted work. As a former book editor, I totally appreciate the amount of work and effort that went into creating this book. Well done!
