Outstanding Art Satchel
This bag is perfect to carry my sketchbook and travel watercolor kit. I have room for everything I need. I have taken my satchel to the beach, the gardens, and on various road trips. The bag is made well, comfortable to wear, and easy to open and close. It is the perfect size for the plein air artist that likes to sketch and paint on location.

Decent bag
I've noticed that messenger bags tend to be too heavy, even without anything inside - probably because either the sturdy canvas material is already heavy or because the padding that gives these bags structure is heavy for whatever reason. This Rothco bag, on the other hand, is pretty light and stays light if you don't put too much stuff in it or anything heavy inside. The bad side of this is that it's a bit floppy and somewhat unstructured; it'll even bend forward or sag on the underside, depending on how the contents are fitting in it. Still, the real leather straps and the style of the bag are really nice. The canvas material is somewhat soft, in my opinion, but might be rough or scratchy for those more sensitive. The durability seems average; there's not a lot to break just because there's not a lot of complexity to the product or its parts in the first place, but it's also inexpensive so let's expect what we pay for. Some commenters are saying that the metal piece on the shoulder strap broke for them and I don't know if this is true, but from I've noticed, it can just come off. That doesn't mean it's broken though - it does work - just that it needs to be secured back into place better. The shoulder strap is pretty short, only adequate if you're around 5' to 5'5 or so, in my opinion. This bag might be perfect if the hardware were nicer, it was water-resistant, and the bag had something inside to keep it structured. But for the price, it's hard to find much else better. I love the brown color option that is offered too, it's just what I was looking for and can be hard to find these days. Would recommend it overall.

Sturdy canvas bag
This shoulder bag is large enough to carry the items I need on a long bike ride. It also goes much better with historical clothing than a modern backpack. I did treat it with a waterproof dressing for use in foul weather and it took the treatment well.

Nice shoulder pouch
Tough canvass material. Adjustable straps, Leather straps. No zipper or closures other than the two leather straps. Big enough to carry a couple of water bottles, some snacks, a first aid kit , flashlight and emergency pouch for a hike. The strap is wide enough it doesn't dig into your shoulder unless you really weigh it down. This would be great for re-enactors or anyone who likes an over the shoulder pouch for hiking or for festivals. I'm always afraid someone will get into a backpack while my back is turned at festivals or flea markets, but these are great to carry a few supplies and small purchases .

It's good for what I use it for, but I would've expected better for what I paid for it.
This Rothco Canvas Medic Bag is good for what I need it for, but it's quality falls short of expectations. The Good:1. Sturdy, water-resistant canvas material2. Buckles are easy to open, close, and adjust3. Cross-body strap is easy to adjust, sturdy, and is not uncomfortable.4. Bag is roomy and easily fits notebooks, books, a pencil bag, etc.5. Leather buckle straps are real, sturdy leatherThe Bad:1. Leather buckle straps were very dry, and I needed to apply some leather-care product to make it soft and supple. Maybe a personal gripe.2. I've only used it for several weeks, and already there are lots of loose threads on the inside of the bag.Overall, the good outweighs the bad for this bag, and with a little TLC and general upkeep, works well for what I bought it for (carrying a notebook, pencil bag, and a few books around). I would still recommend this bag to a friend, although I'd advise them of the small issues I've had with it. 3/5 stars for just meets expectations, but doesn't impress me as quality craftsmanship.

For the money, it's phenomenal. For what it is, it's still decent
It's a decently tough, sturdy, very simple, very classy sachel. Not much that can go wrong on its two securing straps of leather. The stitches appear tough and sewn correctly. The fabric is thick and sturdy feeling. The color is true to the picture and hasn't faded or run in the rain.I wear this around to hold light stuff, masks, sanitizer and wipes, a beanie, tablet, charger, headphones, and sometimes a revolver. It's basically a Man-Purse. And thanks to that *one movie with that one guy who was an archeologist, it has a look that's manly, as well. Which is nice.Really, if you're looking to cosplay as an adventurous archeologist, or just want a sachel for day hikes or just a simple Man-Purse. You can't go wrong with dropping $15 on this one.
