Moves ALOT of Air & is near Silent!
MY APPLICATION: Because HOW you duct in a fan is just as important as the CFM rating of the fan itself, here is my application. I'm using this as a bathroom fan, pulling from a 6" opening above a walk-in shower. I have the fan connected to 6 inch insulated flex duct (Approx. 20ft total length), that is hung in the attic (no hard elbows or bends). I used strapping to support the ductwork from the rafters and all turns are gradual. I have the fan wired to a switched outlet in the attic for easy replacement in a worst case scenario. PRODUCT REVIEW: This is a very well built product and is near silent while running on high. The fan itself is a 5" inlet & outlet connection, which I didn't realize but is fine. It has the wiring terminals for high OR low speed (mine is wired for high). The Body is entirely plastic with a metal mounting bracket in the middle. When the fan is running (while mounted in the attic), the faint noise you're going to hear is the air turbulence through the ducting, not the fan itself. It's that quiet. My biggest problem at this point is that it might move too much air with my unrestricted ducting arrangement. I know this because my wife complains her head gets cold while taking scalding hot shower (I wish I was kidding). Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

Great air flow
Pros: Very very quiet. Great air flow. Nice bracket system which allows for variances in positioning. Cons: It would be nice if the inlet and outlet points fit standard air duct instead of having to resort to universal clamps. That could be a problem in tight spaces or where aesthetics are important.

Not the unit shown
Unit pictured is not the unit that was shipped. The TD-125 unit I received has a plastic mounting bracket and plastic bands to attach the unit to the housing. It was also not a dual speed unit. I tried the unit anyway and it vibrated significantly under any amount of load. When I requested the vendor Buildcom to return/refund they told me that I had to work directly with the manufacturer. After some reasoning with Buildcom they did refund my purchase and the unit was returned. My advice is to make sure that you are getting what is described. Maybe Soler & Palau changed the model but hasn't updated their documentation.

The product works well and is fairly quiet. If I had to buy it again I would get either the model lower or higher though as this one is an odd 5" ports which didn't fit any of the ducting that I already had so I had to get adapters for it.

Great if you want QUIET
Great if you want QUIET, easy to wire, be better if it came wired but these were designed for more than grow rooms
