The diagnostic tool arrived within 24 hours, took a short time getting use to it as I upgraded from an old style CRP123 but a very good and self-explanatory tool , if you are in the vehicle diagnostic screen and there is an error present it opens a search page with the error code to start a search for the error on the internet if it is connected to your WIFI .It picked up error codes on the ABS that I did not know where there and has a handy report while it scans all the systems for errors. The only place I found it a bit lacking was on the keyless entry systems that are not available to change to disable it. The live data stream is very handy and a touch screen makes it a lot easier to navigate. I was able to quickly and easily update the device to the latest version of the tool. Owning a long list of Diagnostic tools ranging from cheap to now my most recent purchase the CRP129X I would highly recommend the tool and it is very much worth the extra money you pay for it.

I have the Launch CRP129 so I wanted to get the CRP129X to see how much better it was then its predecessor. The touch screen makes this unit really easy to use, its easier to use the touch screen then it is the buttons. The buttons on this unit don't actually do that much but most menus can be navigated by the screen and the back or home button. The CRP129X has a built in battery so you can look at the reports away from the car unlike the CPR129 which has to be plugged in to the car to power up. The CRP129X has internal memory and WIFI built in which makes it a lot easier to update then the CRP129 which had a micro SD card that you had to update the unit with. The reports have a nice layout which is easy to read and understand. The vehicle selection menu is easy to navigate. The VIN reader didn't work on my 56 plate Suzuki Swift but once I put the VIN in manually it picked the vehicle details up. The CRP129X can show the live data from the car in a numerical and graphical format which are both very easy to read. The Battery voltage reading has a short cut on the home screen to be able to quickly check that there is voltage in the battery for diagnostics. The CRP129X is quite large compared to the old CRP129. As you can see from the pictures it is bigger in just about every dimension but the screen isn't actually that much bigger but the quality is much better and with the screen being touch sensitive it makes it feel a lot bigger. The CRP129X also comes with a charging cable and a protective carry case, both of which were not included with the CRP129. Overall it is a very good and capable machine. It can cope with just about any car and any system on the car. The touchscreen, built in WIFI and Battery are all a big improvements on the previous model.

Excellent piece of kit. Would recommend. Found my car and provided code within seconds. Very easy to navigate through the system and updates were completed really quickly. Arrived on time, comes in a handy case too. Very happy with this purchase.

So far this item is great. Diagnosed my issues with my car instantly. Gave my a huge relief, I’ve been stressing that the issue were major but it’s something I can fix my self. Really easy to use. Great design. Reads codes Definitely for Value for money

I bought this to diagnose my L200 K74. For the price it's brilliant. Touch screen was responsive, read the fault codes on my truck. Cleared them and showed me live data. It has a lot of vehicle makes and models on it. It looks like you can do service resets and dpf regens- but I've not tested that yet. Came fully charged, with a charger and the updates took around 15 mins. You just have to connect to wifi and select what updates you want. Honestly, for the price it it is pretty class and does not feel cheap at all.

Battery failed after 18 months, won’t hold charge and will only work when plugged to power. Don’t bother!

I spent along time shopping around and researching for a suitable OBD2 tool, I got sick of not having limited functions and decided to give this a go, It takes a little of getting used too when I've mostly used cheap and cheerful OBD readers in the past, the instructions are most useful for this, the device has plenty of battery and doesn't take long to charge up, it can even use power via the OBD port to keep powered, it has the ability to automatically detect the car you're plugged into and the manualy search for what you need, the software updates didn't take long and I wanted to ensure that I brought a device that is updated constantly, the device has lots of functions such as battery testing, light resetting, live readings, more in depth investigations and even the ability to create a report so it can be used in a professional basis, I most happy when I used the reader to carry out a DPF check and DPF sensor reset, saving me alot of money, overall the device is easy to use, has alot of features, seems very robust and strong and for the price, you get alot of abilities, essential for any mechanic

Ordered this after my Passat dash was lighting up, quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced ABS sensors and saved time and money taking it to a garage. Excellent for monitoring all systems in the car, works flawlessly. My favourite feature is the ability to send a diagnosis to yourself/others by email (provided the machine is connected to WiFi). Highly recommended for the at home mechanic. Incredible value for money. Setup was quick and easy with an articulate QuickStart guide. Arrived with a full charge however allow some time to install the relevant updates before using.

The device is great but when i contact Launch officials they inform me that 129x is for Chinese market and they cant support me with anything.For Europe you need 129 evo or 123 evo.

When i connected the device to my car it needed to update its firmware. Each time it tried to update its firmware the device gave an error.

très bon produit, qualité / prix, convient parfaitement à mon véhicule, car pas évident de trouver pour Peugeot 307 SW, très facile d'utilisation ! le seul bémol, pas de notice en français, juste une notice de démarrage, grâce à mon petit anglais j'ai pu configurer l'appareil, mais pas assez bon anglais pour ce qui concerne les réglages technique ! Sinon si il y avait une notice complète en français ce serait absolument parfait ! Peut-être qu'elle existe !
