Beautiful product that makes beautiful food
This is a wonderful masa harina and I can't see ever buying a different one in the future. It makes perfect, silken tortillas that have great corn aroma. I was using another masa but the tortillas seemed a bit stiff and brittle. This was the answer. I have made tortillas and also tamale pie. I look forward to making tamales soon. I saw that someone complained about the brown paper package. I have already put it into smaller, airtight and hard-sided containers. That should solve the bag problem. I didn't mind not getting a plastic package - it was refreshing.Highly recommend this product.

Seriously, just add water
I am so glad we decided to try this masa! We'd never made tortillas before, and it took my husband a few tries to get the hang of it, but now we're converts. They're so soft and flavorful. Even the most expensive organic tortillas from the store can't compare.Hardest part was getting my kids not to eat it before Mommy could take a picture!

Beautiful fresh masa harina.
Alma Semillera is my new go to masa. Fine texture makes into a smooth dough. Fresh corn waffs through my kitchen as tortillas griddle and puff. My family devours them with a little butter and sea salt as they come off the heat.

Dont look no more! FANTASTIC MASA FOR TORTILLAS
I was looking for a masa to make tortillas as I am spoiled bringing handmade tortillas from Mexico.. i tried a couple of masas and with each one I was struggling with dryness or flavor or freshness or smoothness.I came across this masa and wooooow perfect! Easy to work.. my tortillas are smooth.. taste wonderful... smell wonderful and they puff.. also they stay fresh from a couple of days. Just keep them in a bag sealed in the refrigerator. It helps also to knead the masa well for a couple of minutes as well to rest the masa for at least 30 minutes... I am addicted to them already. I just order the blue masa, the quinoa masa to try to make tortillas for my husband and their popcornGreat Job Alma Semillera you really have the Alma to make this

Best Blue Corn Flour
Made blue corn tortillas for the first time in my life. They were amazing!!! Follow the instructions on the bag. I made the error of following someone else’s receipt but the bag recipe was perfect! Will only buy this brand from now on!

Oh my gosh, the flavor!
I opened this bag as soon as it arrived. The first thing that hits you is the wonderful aroma of fresh corn, and then the very fine texture. I found i didn't need as much water as you do with the commercial brands. I made tortillas right away and they are simply the best I've ever made. So full of flavor with a wonderful texture. I will definitely be back!

Expensive, but good!
I've made tortillas using supermarket brands of masa and they were OK. I just made simple blue corn tortillas using the proportions on the bag (3/4 cup warm water to a cup of masa) and the tortillas were perfectly soft, smooth, and flexible. I had no issues with tearing, cracking or sticking so I feel its worth a little extra both for the superior tortillas, and for having less hassle to make them.

Very finely ground
This is a truly finely ground masa harina / corn flour. Eating nixtamalized corn helps me with one of my medical conditions, and instead of using corn starch (which doesn't help my condition at all), I like to mix masa harina into an egg custard / homemade pudding for the thickening agent. Most masa harina leaves the texture rather grainy and less than pleasant because it's coarsely ground. This flour is wonderfully fine and produces the smoothest non-corn-starch texture I've yet to find. I haven't made tortillas or polenta with it yet, but I am going to be buying a lot more and will have enough left over to experiment!
