Just disagreed for their choice of number 7 - John Elway really? There is only one number 7 and that is Mickey MantleThe book was a lot of fun and as it was a gift to a friend he was thrilled to add it to his sports lit collection.

I bought this used and it had a few nicks in the cover; however, it's an interesting conversational book. One may not agree with the editor's choices.

I chose this book as a replacement for another book similar to this one. The other book had a total list of players numbers, who wore them etc. This book has some interesting "side bar" pages which I have found to be quite interesting.I will be reading the book more in depth as the days go by.

From 0 or 00 to 99, this book details all the great athletes who have worn a particular number. While I may not have necessarily agreed with all the top ratings, it was a trip down memory lane for me. Great "coffee table" book that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys sports.

Gave this to my son for Christmas, he and his friends spent days looking in it and talking it over. I think it's definitely worth the price for the sports fan on your list of any age.

Great gift! My brother knows and has everything regarding sports. Got him this book for Christmas and he almost read the entire thing straight through on the spot. Excellent and interesting book.
